The cars are nice they will overcharge you basically charge you during the weeks of having the rental. Tom will call you ask you to take the money out which I have on recording on my phone and After you drop the rental off you will be charged again every week he will call me and tell me to transfer the money into my checking account and take the money off five days after the rental has been with them I got a charge of $1099. It does not add up and the lady in the office, smart mouth doesn’t help

No rental cars for Uber going on 4 months now at the Liberty Blvd location. A month at the Monroeville location. They need to do better for customers with independent businesses. Please get this together. Thank you.

The worst rental car experience ever. I travel a lot and they had me wait for over 2 hours to get my rental and then they just dropped it off in the parking area without telling me it was there. the car was also dirty. Whoever is managing this place needs to be fired immediately or Avis reputation will be seriously damaged.

So now that ive read other reviews I realize I picked the wrong place to do business with. Ms. Phyillis is a terrible liar who made her job responsiblity mine. After their car broke down on me and was towed by their road side assistance she said it was on me to locate the car. How?...and if you hadn't received or knew where the vehicle was, how was my card charged for a late fee along w the gas which was on E...lies the only saving grace was Ivan at corporate who immediately rectified all of the extra charges.Thank goodness for good people unlike Ms. PHYLISS...let us also remember this is the same company who lost over 150 cars to a worker who was renting them to drug dealer in exchange for drugs...so why wouldn't another location be stealing money to support whatever? They definitely are giving Avis a bad name. May be time to shut this location down and revamp the whole situation.Also the poor employee under Ms Phyliss, Sarah was nothing but kind but only could follow her bosses terrible instructions and business practice. The pictures are of their car monday morning three days earlier than the week they charged me for...with the red cap that indicates it's been registered by their company as returned by tow company...also everytime ive been their close to 15 minutes before they close she has door locked...better business bureau says u cant close the door before ur posted time of close js

If I could leave negative Stars I would it started with me making a reservation and this place not accepting it. They didn't tell me why but I found out my ID had expired so I got my ID renewed with a camera card came back the following day brand new ID. They show up let me in and after I exchange pleasantries and ask about renting tell me they're not going to rent to me for no other reason than the machine rejected your ID. So there's nothing we can do I said that was a day ago and my D was expired which you guys didn't tell me I said all I'm trying to do is make it down to my mom's funeral you guys did nothing but give me problems from the time that I came here and they did they were rude they were short they didn't look at me the dogs did nothing but bark I feel like they discriminated against me because they seen a younger person come in with a big family and they didn't want to rent to me I think that's what it is because she didn't even look at the machine she didn't even try to look up my reservation the second time she's basically said I don't have to rent to somebody if I don't want to you know what you could have made a trip for a very hurting family. If this is worded funny it's text to speech I just wanted to get this rating up there as I'm driving and my emotions are hot

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!I'm not certain if it's incompetence, or if there's something more nefarious going on at this location, but my experience here was horrid, and potentially fraudulent.My family flew into Pittsburgh for my grandfather's funeral, and when we arrived to pick-up the two reservations I had placed and confirmed, we were told they gave one of them away, without checking with or notifying us. We were also told the office's computers and printers were down, so they couldn't check inventory at other locations, but that rather than the two SUVs I reserved, they could give us an SUV and a small car, or they could give us a cargo van, for "more than the price of one SUV, but less than the overall reservation amount".We agreed to go with the cargo van, and they pulled it around, vacuumed it out, and gave us the keys. The lady handling the reservation was polite throughout, and told us we could return it after hours, and simply leave the keys in the drop box, or return it directly to the airport location without additional charge. Despite the initial issues, we felt they had done their best to accommodate us and even tried to make it right by adding insurance for free. We went about our affairs, and returned it the next day, to the same location, about 45 minutes after they closed.HOWEVER, when I finally received an invoice a few days later (recall their internet and printers were down, so I never saw a rental agreement), it included unauthorized charges, a significantly higher rate than promised, and additional days of charges that we never had the vehicle for. In total, it was nearly 10X the price of what I was led to believe it would be.When I called AVIS corporate to discuss this, they offered to credit most of the charges, but never did. I then opted to dispute through my credit card, which AVIS is currently fighting, essentially claiming that their agreement allows them to charge whatever they want. I've since filed a fraud/scam complaint with the FTC, am exploring which state’s attorney general to contact, and am considering consulting a consumer protection attorney over this transaction.I wanted to post it publicly here as well, to alert potential future customers to the risks of doing business with this location and perhaps the corporation. I had seen the low rating prior to placing my reservation, but have had positive prior experiences with AVIS, and needed to book last minute for a funeral during a busy weekend, and had been left with few, if any alternatives. If you look through the other reviews, you’ll find I'm not the first person to have issues with the management at this location adding or deliberately misstating charges. If you have any other options for your vehicle rental in this area, please save yourself the headache, and go with them instead.

Lady there is worst customer service ever. Said my cc wouldn’t authorize, so took another card. Then I see charges on both cards. Sage thing happened to the person in front of me too. She pretends to try and swipe the card, then manually does it after you leave to double charge you. Then refuses to reverse it once you’ve caught it. She’s a thief!

The people at the Avis rental place were very friendly. I was a bit late however they still accommodated me. The car was beautiful and I had a wonderful time driving it around the city of Pittsburgh. I would definitely recommend this Avis location to anyone looking to rent in the area

Absolutely horrible. I was told by avis corporate that I could get a sedan here and when I show up they angrily tell my they are closed and they have no cars. I was yelled at by a man, who knows the owner and was very rude. Never think of coming here.
