This review is for Mika from the deli. He was awesome!! Super friendly and nice. I asked for a special order and he was beyond accommodating and the whole time did with a huge smile and kind
words. I was very thankful and impressed with him. Other employees need to take his lead!!! I hope you share this review with him so he knows what a great job he is doing !!!!

Always love this place. Nice staff, great options, a tad pricey but worth it for the experience. My husband and I come here when we're visiting- every time. :)

Beware of the Bakery and the rude counter person behind the counter. Wed was my 71 St birthday and every year I order the same cake from Giant eagle for the past 7 years. White almond batter with their famous buttercream and I always have the cake trimmed in chocolate roses and lettering n border . A simple request. Well today was the most awkward stressful way if ordering as the one gal I'm guessing was the decorator was taking my order not paying mind to what I was asking for but continued to talk about how she doesn't decorate in weekends etc. while the other young gal kept talking about her lives problems and repeating herself over n over?I thought I was in a bakery ? N ot therapy. Anyway I went to pick up the cake today and ko and behold! It was covered in chocolate icing plus chocolate roses ..and trim ??Not WHAT I Asked FOR! I've been told this same crew made the wrong cake fur an older ladies birthday party and had the spelling all wrong plus some...And to top it off? When u saw the cake ? ??I was so upset and started to cry. The store mgr told me to take the cake home free if charge and eat it?I'm like NO! I was so upset by how I was treated and talked to as a customer only looking to order my birthday cake. My party has been canceled til the next day so I can order elsewhere.Stay far away from this Giant Eagle Bakery. They have a bad reputation for being rude to customers and failing to give the customer what they asked for .

Although the economy is out of control, a lot of items here can be found at other retailers like Rite Aid aldi and Wal-Mart for wayyy Less. There are a few kind employees . The other problem is customer service to buy stamps or lottery closed.
