In and out in less than 20 minutes, definitely a good experience.

I hate the fact that I am forced to self check out. There is always at least one employee usually its two, standing there watching me do their job. I don't work there. They should be running the register.

Employees don't treat you with respect . They say they don't have what you're looking for,and if you look for yourself, they usually have it.

The staff lady at the returns desk was not helpful at all and actually unprofessional. Ignored me because she had to send a text, then kept texting and said it was a coworker drama. I stood there for a while until she helped me but then she was fast and efficient. The older staff don't know the products in their departments, I had to have three different staff members help me find screws. The younger staff are more friendly and helpful, as far as I could tell.

What should have been a simple 31 sq. ft. bathroom tile installation turned into an expensive, months-long disaster filled with poor communication, repeated delays, and a shocking lack of accountability. I didn’t just lose money—I lost time, energy, and trust.
Lowe’s seems to have forgotten that customers are the reason businesses exist. The absence of a customer-centric approach left me appalled and exhausted.
03/15/25 – Initial quote given. I disclosed that the floor had vinyl over ceramic tile and the subfloor condition was unknown. The Lowe’s rep assured me it wasn’t a problem and said, “We take care of it all from start to finish.”
03/21/25 – I purchased the tile. I was told to pick it up myself because Lowe’s charges “an arm and a leg” for delivery “hidden as a service fee.”
04/25/25 – Ultimate Home Services (subcontractor) contacted me to schedule, saying supplies were in. Lowe’s, however, said the opposite. The communication breakdown began.
05/14/25 – Installation Day #1 – Contractors arrived before 8 AM with no 30-minute call-ahead. We had to use Google Translate for all communication. At 9:14 AM, I was told they couldn’t proceed because of a subfloor issue that was never mentioned in the original quote. They left my vanity in the hallway, my toilet in the spare room, and the bathroom gutted. I had to hire my own contractor to repair a small subfloor patch.
05/23–24/25 – Installation Day #2 – Despite clear instructions that I needed a late-morning start due to a meeting, the contractor arrived early, disrupted my work, left, then returned midday. Work extended over two days, with inconsistent updates and unclear communication. The toilet was not reinstalled, and I was told a new flange was needed—but my plumber later confirmed it was just a wax ring. More delays, more out-of-pocket expenses.
Post-Install Issues – The contractor left a raised threshold that created a tripping hazard. My elderly neighbor tripped on it. When I called Lowe’s, I was told someone would assess it.
06/18/25 – “Assessment” Turns into Unauthorized Work – A contractor showed up (again, no call ahead), used a translation app to say, “should not have been left that way,” ripped up the threshold without permission, asked me for supplies, and left—never to return.
06/26/25 – Final Fix – Another no-call-ahead visit, more requests for supplies (despite Lowe’s assurances the contractor would bring them). He eventually finished the work. Still no aftercare instructions—none were provided by phone or online. I had to use ChatGPT both times for tile aftercare info.
Five days off work. Additional costs for subfloor repair and plumbing. Endless stress. Zero accountability.
Lowe’s offered me a $100 gift card—only after I followed up multiple times. I requested a refund to my original form of payment. That was refused. I received a condescending voicemail from someone named Ashley saying, “I wouldn’t normally approve $100, it is way more…but I have to stand by it.” No callback number, no conversation—just “take it or leave it.”
A gift card is not compensation. It’s a forced reinvestment in a company that failed me at every step.
Lowe’s: You hide behind third-party contractors, offer gift cards instead of solutions, and fail to own the customer experience. This project cost me far more than money.

Cashier named Cory was extremely unfriendly. Can’t help but think she is a little racist because after we had a rude interaction with her, she was bubbly, nice and said hello to the people who walked up after us (she didn’t say anything like that to us). I understand that this world treats retail employees wrong, but the person that I was with and I were not rude to her at all - we were smiling and nice throughout even after she was so nasty to us. If you are unhappy with your job, try getting a new career where you are happy.

Made the mistake of coming here over Home Depot since it's technically closer to me. Never again. Rude staff at the front entrance and didn't even have what I needed.

A huge thank you for the tremendously helpful information and customer support I received from Nate at the Pro Desk. He was able to help resolve my account issues and set up my business to receive extremely helpful savings by doing custom bulk ordering.
Really appreciative of the time and patience he had as it was quite the investment, given the amount of questions and clarification I needed prior to make sure this decision was in the best interest of my business. He broke everything down very simple and then got our future inventory scheduled, ordered, and discounted all in one shot.
On behalf of our small team,
Thank you!
