Red Wing shoe stores do not back their products. I ordered a pair of boots online called and asked if I can exchange them at the store and they told me I couldn’t because I bought them online. Also, the lady who I was talking to very ignorant and rude as I was talking to her, she was talking to somebody else. Don’t buy from this store. NORTHWAY SHOE REPAIR IS FANTASTIC!

Very professional, They take the time to fit you to the boot that will work best for you. I struggle to find boots that don't destroy my feet and I believe I finally found them. Great job.

When it comes to work boots in my opinion they are the powertrain that keeps my paycheck rolling in. Jeff is very polite and professional if you are looking for quality, old school customer service and you depend on your boots then you should depend on Jeff at Redwing cranberry location to get you fitted in the appropriate size and boots. Your feet will thank you!

Don’t make the same mistake I did. I just recently purchased a pair of Irish Setter “Logger” boots. I have an older pair that I’ve worn daily for the last four years which I purchased from this location. Sunday June 23rd I purchased the same exact boots however I did not get the right size. Monday the 24th I took the boots to work and put them on there. I did notice they were slightly tight but thought I’d give them an hour to break in as I did some shop duties within the carpeted office area of the shop, this shop is in an industrial setting the office is attached and will get dusty so take this into consideration for both parties. After an hour i decided that the boots were not comfortable to my liking and put them back in the box until I could exchange them for the same boot.
Now here’s my dilemma that I don’t want further customers to make. 6/26/24 4:45pm As I walk into the Red Wing store an individual holds the door open for me where I was the first to enter the sales person chose to ignore me for a brief moment to see what the individual behind me needs were. This perplexed me some since I was the first through the door and couldn’t get inquiry about my visit though the big Irish Setter box was enough to tell why I was there.
After she tended to the man behind me with a brief “hello” and “how may I help you” and an explanation from the customer as to why they were there. The sales person shifts her attention to me. She opens the box with receipts, packing tissue, and boots, immediately as she’s opening the box she’s already saying there’s no returns. She inquired if I had worn the boots which my rebuttal was yes, on carpet and I’m looking to exchange the boots for a size up. She examines the boots critiquing some very light wear to the boot such as dust to the bottom of the boot and she did find a smudge of some kind to the one side of the boot which I’m sure could be cleaned.
As she’s rejecting the exchange of the lightly worn boots (1hr) she states that there are absolutely no exchanges on IRISH SETTER BOOTS. Please do not make that mistake that they will not return or exchange Irish Setters. She did say if they were Red Wing that they “may” exchange them. Also please take note that this was an exchange I wanted due to comfort.
Please do not make this mistake I did. This is honestly a small mistake that I had made by getting the wrong size. I will NEVER purchase another pair of boots from this location and will pass the word along. I handled this situation in a professional manner. However, I feel that the sales person could have at the very least been a little more empathetic about rejecting the boots. We all know these boots are not cheap, my mistake turned into a customer complaint had service been more understanding I wouldn’t be writing.
