The Hall at Castle Inn is a historic treasure and unique old building in Delaware Water Gap. It offers an interesting tour that is absolutely worth the visit, considered a hidden gem and a must for anyone into history, architecture, or a great local experience. The tour covers the property's three fascinating chapters: first as a hotel and summer resort for middle-class tourists, then as the musical headquarters for Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians and a major publisher of sheet music, and now as a lovingly restored historic treasure and event venue. The tour guide is incredibly informative, funny, full of charm, and does a magnificent job of bringing the place to life and transporting visitors back to its heydays. The location also features eclectic shoppes. Shopping there is fun, with real antique merch and also new items in every different store. Prices inside are reasonable. The staff and people are very friendly, nice, and accommodating. There is also a vintage ice cream emporium, perfect for a break from browsing. The building is only open certain days, and the tour is only available on specific days and times. The current owners are doing an incredible job with the renovation, bringing it back to its former glory. It is a surprising piece of local history and definitely a place to check out for anyone who likes cool old things.
