Absolute life-saver! Ed “Sparky” Forde came out at 12:45am to tow my EV to a charging station. I was incredibly stressed about being alone with a dead battery in the middle of the night (in the rain, no less), and AAA couldn’t send anyone until 5am. I couldn’t have asked for a kinder, more professional or more capable person - from pickup to troubleshooting the logistics of getting a dead EV in the right position so that the charging cable actually reached the port (again, in the rain!), I couldn’t have been in better hands. He even waited with me to make sure the car was charging properly. I can only say wonderful things about this experience and can’t recommend this company highly enough!

Made an appt to specifically change the transmission oil, and also asked to checked the spark plugs to be changed how much would that cost. 2 very specific tasks, i didnt want any maintenance of any sort, i do all that myself. I dropped the car in the morning, hours later i get a call that my transmission was unique (mazda cx-5) so they would charge around $350 instead of the $200-250$ initially estimated, and the plus another $280. So i called the Mazda dealiership in Conshohocken and they charge $260 including tax for the oil tranmission so i return their call to deny any service from them because it was not what i had planned to pay. They told me to give the 45min before picking up the car, because they were road testing it. So once i get to the place 1hr and 10mins later, the car was not there. Took another 5min before they arrived from the road test, and i had to pay a $51 bill for "lifting the car to inspect, and road test". When did i ask for any road test? i just wanted 2 very specific tasks done. Just open the hood, see the transmission or check online what type it is to give a quote. I was angry to pay even $51 for not doing anything, and road test? i know what is wrong/needed with my car, didnt need any road test, didnt even gave me results from that road test, so was that just a thing they did to be able to earn a few more dollars out of my pocket? never coming back.

aN EXTREMELY pROFESSIONAL job helping me and a leaking tire. courteous and helpful and communicative on tire pressure, leaks, signals, etc. no selling and Mr forde did the work. if i lived closer, he would work on my care.

I went ED Forde for 2 times, One is for the inspection, They charged more than the market. 2nd time for the Water Pump change. I found them bit rude plus they were not explaining the estimates upfront.

Best auto shop anywhere ever... Family owned and run for 2 generations (and a 3rd learning the ropes). Ed "Sparky" Forde is one of the kindest, most honest and most knowledgeable car guys you will ever meet. He takes the time to talk to you about your car. He'll explain what your options are, what you need now, and what you can let wait until next time. He has gone WAY above and beyond for us on multiple occasions, because of what he felt was reasonable and fair. I couldn't say enough. Customer for life.

What an accommodating station,we had a truck towed there very reasonable, he even loaned us a Jack to repair something, friendly neighborhood station

My car was evaluated as a total loss because of flooding withing the past month and this is where the car was towed. They were very professional in sealing the moon roof and open windows of the car, which were open and the condition from when it was towed out of the flooded water. I easily retrieved things I wanted from the car before the insurance company took it for salvage. They have must have an agreement with Berwyn EMT services but if you ever need the services of a place like Ed Forde, go to Ed Forde. I don't put 5 star ratings very easily, only when impressed by far above and beyond services or products.
