“Booked two cabins for 4 nights at the Oak Lodge for our family trip. It was such a breathtaking experience! The cabins were so perfect in every way. Their bed and breakfast by Chef John was delicious and superb, accommodating us so well! Our nights were so comfortable! Our mornings peaceful and beautiful, waking up with nature. It is obvious that Oak Lodge goes way above to make you feel like this is your home away from home. We look forward to going back! Can't wait!”
“A true pilgrimage site for Orthodox Christians and inquirers of the faith. The historic property is blessed by the presence of relics of St. Raphael and enveloped in a God-given peace. The museum and library are wonderful places to browse and learn.”
“This was such a nice venue to host my mom’s retirement party! Ian and staff were wonderful and beyond helpful in all aspects. The food was AMAZING!! Like really really worth every penny. I would 10000% recommend using this venue for any event, it’s beautiful inside and the service was incredible.”
“I went to the fairgrounds for the big annual Labor Day weekend arts & crafts show. There were several large buildings filled with vendors, along with a packed midway. It was a lot to see and a lot of walking, but there were strategically placed benches available when I needed a breather. I spent an enjoyable afternoon browsing SO many everyday, fall, Christmas, and food items. The only downside was the restrooms. The stalls either had no locks or misaligned locks that were unusable, there were no hooks to hang a purse or bags, the hand dryers didn't work, and there were no paper towels.”
“Being snowed in has never felt more like a dream come true!
My friend and I stayed here after skiing at Seven Springs—and we are sooo lucky we did!! We ended up snowed in with no means to even get food for ourselves. The host/manager (Rachel) made sure we didn't go hungry, and even invited us to make snow ice cream with her and her son since he had the day off from school. We truly couldn't be more grateful to her.
We ended up staying two extra days as we waited for our hometown to deal with their record levels of snow, and enjoyed every moment of our peaceful stay at Baneberry Meadows. The local roads were clear enough after the initial storm for a trip back to the slopes with the PERFECT powder conditions too.
10/10 would recommend. It's experiences like these that remind you why classic B&Bs are the way to go. The gorgeous rooms, cozy vibes, heaps of hospitality, and sense of community here are unmatched. Thank you again, Rachel. You made our trip a memory of a lifetime.”
