“We absolutely loved our stay at this historic inn! The grounds were beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly well-kept. The best part was how quiet and relaxing it was, we truly felt like we were the only people there. For introverts, couples, or anyone looking for a calm getaway away from the hustle and bustle, this place is perfect.

The quiet atmosphere was honestly one of my favorite parts. I needed to narrate a presentation for graduate school during our stay, and I was able to sit in the lounge area and record it because it was so peaceful and quiet. It was the perfect environment to focus and get work done while still feeling like I was on a relaxing getaway.

The inn had so much charm and character, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. We did have a small issue with our door code not working when we arrived, but after calling, we received a response very quickly and it was fixed immediately. Their attentiveness really helped make us feel taken care of.

They offered a light, healthy breakfast, which was a nice way to start the morning. If you’re looking for a larger breakfast spread, there are also breakfast buffets less than a 4-minute drive away. There is also coffee and tea available anytime.

A few things to know before planning your trip: there is a shared refrigerator available in the hallway, and the rooms do not have fans. If you’re someone who sleeps better with a fan or needs white noise, I’d recommend bringing a small travel fan. The rooms do have televisions with Rokus, but ours wasn’t connecting during our stay. Since we were only there one night, we didn’t call about it, but I’m very confident they would have taken care of it right away if we had needed assistance.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay here again. It’s a beautiful, historic, quiet escape with a warm and welcoming feel. perfect for a peaceful getaway, a couples retreat, or anyone who appreciates a little calm away from the busy world.”

“Wow, what a hidden gem! I've driven through the area and never knew there was a picturesque lodge tucked away off a back road in Stahlstown. When I pulled up the private drive, I felt like I was stepping back in time. This property is gorgeous and I bet it's fully booked once wedding season hits, so I recommend booking in the winter and early spring when you will have the entire property to yourself. There were other guests staying at the lodge, but we barely crossed paths. One of the highlights was the pool house and hot tub, open 24 hours and located in a beautiful greenhouse. If you are planning on heading to Fallingwater or Polymath park, consider staying at the Oak Lodge!”

“Was there on a retreat for weekend. Was very comfortable and relaxing. Was able to disconnect, pray and meditate. Beds are comfy and rooms clean. No TV's to distract. The foods was great and the cookies are so good. Cell service is hit or miss. Wonderful spiritual retreat🍂🍁❣”

“I recently got married at Laurel Bell in July. It is a beautiful location and I had so much fun. I can't wait for the photos from my photographer. I would recommend the place to everyone and anyone. With how expensive everything with wedding is, it was a gift to find this place. With food and drinks included, I didn't break the bank. Also the food was yummy.

The staff was amazing and friendly. Not a single complaint. They were on it. I also want to mention how wonderful the owner/host was. Jessica is amazing and I would rebook the place just for her. She was so helpful and even give decorating ideas when I was struggling. I would rebook just for her.

With how stressful wedding are, I didn't have a single worry with the venue. I have been so stressed planning a the wedding and it was amazing to have such an amazing place that took away my stress.”

“The barn is a buituful barn decorated and lights and rustic decor. The place is quite big and it is really decorated making it a nice place to sit in. I went their for an auction and it was very nice, but they also have a whole variety of events that they or other people host.”

“We went with my husband's son and his wife, they were venders there they have Knittel Kreations( check out their business on Facebook.) and we had a good time, some good food and the kids did well with their sales the park around the market site is beautiful.”
