This BJ's location is in the Downing County area on Lancaster Avenue. They have enough parking and carts are located in the parking area. They do have a tire center, optical department. The customer service center is not the Great, but it's okay. It would be great if they keep any carts inside the store unfortunately you have to take it from the parking lot. The place doesn't get this year very normal crowd. I use this for regular grocery shopping, some seasonal shopping like Garden. yard supplies and patio furniture. They do have a huge range of gift card books and clothing for kids, men's, women's. You can find jackets, sweatshirts , and shoes, everything here at a reasonable price. You can not compare this to any Costco location, but it's still worth it. They do have a very good Bakery section, and I have ordered cakes here, and it serves the birthday party well.

This store rocks as a whole! Shoutout to the pickup order crew- they always treat me with respect as a DoorDasher. While BJ’s is great altogether, the place they really shine is the Optical department.The purpose of this review is to recognize the extreme dedication and resiliency of the optical manager, Cindy. I’ve been going to her for a couple years now for my glasses and occasionally contacts too. She is the best technician I’ve ever had for eye care. Her knowledge of lenses is top notch. She can talk to anyone. Her kindness towards everyone is evident in how she approaches customer service.I just adore her, and want BJ’s management to know how much the community appreciates her. I’ve talked to a few BJ’s members over the years that have commented on the excellent experience they’ve had with this optical department. It seems like there’s always high turnover in this field, but despite that issue she always sticks around. What an upstanding member of our community.Thanks Cindy! ❤️P.s. included a picture of the recent pair of glasses I picked up from BJ’s :)

A Huge Thank You to everyone this morning Wednesday, January 10th at BJ's Downingtown. We like a lot of other people Were without electricity. Every employee we came into contact with was very helpful with us getting the generator we needed,checking out with the generator and getting it loaded into the truck. Again, thank you so much for your kindness and help!!

The customer service in this store is horrible! I had one question, so I asked two different employees (one employee had "supervisor" on name tag) for help. I was either ignored or given an attitude.... never got the answer to my question. :( So happy I won't be shopping there anytime in the future.These paid subscriptions to shop for groceries are a complete waste of money especially if they are going to treat customers like that.

I applied and got accepted for a job here back in July, but when I spoke to the club coordinator, she instantly thought I wouldn't be a good fit and recommended I not do the hired job. Like who the hell steers people away from a hired position? Once I heard that I felt like chop liver. They also told me I'd be working with just one other person. Then the first training day they had me in a room with 10 other people working...so I just walked right out and said "I'm sorry this just isn't for me".

I ordered my wedding cake through BJ’s bakery and I could not have been happier! It was only $29.99 and easily fed 30 people. It was a beautiful 2 tier cake and it tasted AMAZING! Thanks BJs!

Usually satisfied, been a long time customer, but was sold rotten Norwegian Salmon that had days left to go and it smelled like a rotten corpse. Store took 15 minutes to reach a live person so I could suggest they pull the fish from the display. I’ll never trust their fish products again.

Shop regularly and appreciate in store pick up but there are always always missing items in my order. Once I arrived to pick up and half of my order hadn't been shopped although I was notified it was ready for pick up. I am currently in the parking lot waiting for the case of water that wasn't in my order (that I paid for). I called 20 minutes ago and was told someone would bring it out. I'd go in but then I'd have to get my toddler back in his car seat. It would be great if I got what I ordered the first time!

This is good store for all others except Meat/Seafood section. Frequently, I have faced very bad smell around the Meat section. We bought Salmon and Trout in two different occasions and both time fishes were rotten.

Love how the lady at cash register: 5 attended us. Cashier: 511224. Had a attitude when she was checking us out not even a "please" or "hey can you pick this item up for me please!" No she instead had an attitude and said it in a rude way " Can you pick this up so I can SCAN IT" then I continued to pick the item up then she said again but laughing like saying "pIcK tHiS oNe uP tOo" rude tone, then we said in calm tone "is it my job or your job" then she RUDLY said "excuse me" the she said " you can go to self checkout then she left us there standing there then she called her manager saying some " really bruh" that's how you treat people bru" then staring to raise his voice

If Costco was closer, I doubt that I would ever shop here. Selection pales in comparison. Long lines to check out. One human cashier, everything else is self-checkout. What are the employees doing?

Clean and well stocked. Great prices. Produce fresh. Customer service outstanding! On my first visit several months ago, the app wasn't working so I couldn't access my member number. After several attempts to locate my number, exhausting all available options, the MSR granted me a temporary number to complete my purchase. He didn't have to, and could have turned me away, but chose to trust that I was a member and provided an excellent experience. This past Saturday, I had a quality concern about a purchase I had made the prior week. Rachel listened to the issue and promptly without any fuss, corrected the problem to my 100% complete satisfaction.
