Remember the "Where's the Beef?" commercial that Wendy's ran years ago? Well, after ordering the fajitas at Poco's Mexican-American Restaurant in Doylestown, the same thought immediately came to mind. Except in this case it was "Where's the Chicken?". I shared my concern of the portion size being correct with my waitress and she told me that the meat is portion controlled. OK, so there was about a pound or more of peppers and onions hiding what amounted to a smattering of chicken. This is not how it should be. Even On the Border or Jose Texas provides ample protein when they're promoting a beef, chicken or combo fajitas. Yet here, it was as though this should be accepted even at the $20 price?? That aside, the restaurant had good energy and the waitress worked really hard and with a smile to handle a large section, so those were two good things I can share. I saw some other meals that came out that looked traditionally Mexican. But if you're considering fajitas, this is definitely not the place to go if you're expecting an ample serving of meat with the mounds of peppers and onions on the plate. I could barely make a second fajita with a slim row of chicken pieces.

As soon as we walked in, we had a friendly greeting from a gentleman who genuinely seemed happy to be there (rare these days). Chips and salsa were brought to us immediately, and the waitress arrived a second later. Katie, our server, was absolutely lovely! She answered every question with enthusiasm and was so attentive! I don’t think I’ve had such good service in probably the past 10 years. The atmosphere is fantastic, and of course the food and drinks are delicious! The Ethel and Lucy meat is ridiculously good, I could eat it every day! Really exceptional dining experience!

Gary and the girls kept us totally entertained . We dance and sang to the 50sand 60s music . Let’s talk about the food . We were a party of 10. , the compliments on the meal was nothing short of fabulous . Served hot and plentiful. To my surprise they offered 50/50 , basket raffles , and door prizes. All and all it was a fabulous day . Thank you to the gracious manager , servers , cooks ,and bartenders . ?

The shrimp tacos were good and the three that came in the order were filling. We also ordered an enchilada, but didn't realize it was only one enchilada until we got home. Now we know for next time! Give Pocos a try!Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten free options!
