I have been banking here for years and each and every time I come in the staff have been the most friendly folks around. I sometimes see the stress on the girls when things get hectic as they sometimes do but the girls plow through and do their very best to help me. Maybe someday I'll bring in some donuts for them.

Started out the beginning of May with a refinance with this bank. This bank and its staff had terrible customer service as they did not communicate changes they made to the terms throughout this process. It was two months later they called for me to sign closing disclosures prior to signing on the closing of the loan. This was after speaking with the Branch Manager and the Financial Area Manager to get those handling the loan to communicate. The paperwork that was provided to me was a conventional 15 year fixed rate loan. When we arrived at the signing we were not told we could not escrow our homeowners and taxes. We weren’t told we couldn’t have bi-weekly payments. We weren’t told this was going to be a home equity loan and not a traditional mortgage. We will be pulling all of our accounts from this bank.

I had to depart Washington, DC after 23 years of college, graduate school, 10 years in consumer and mortgage finance, and 8.5 years at a national nonprofit charted by the U.S. Congress in 1978 as the Community Reinvestment Corporation DBA NeighorWorks America. No local bank who required checking account fees would open an account without 2 forms of billing within no greater than 30 days would allow me to open an account. First Commonwealth was the only bank, with retail operations, and ATMs available, offered me both checking and saving accounts with overdraft protection, with NO fees attached.
