About The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army in Stroudsburg is a place to find a bargain in a friendly atmosphere with a spirit of giving and recycling. Staff volunteers are nice. It is a great place to find good stuff, accepting small furniture, books, and kitchen things. However, the experience can be mixed. Getting help and a call back can be horrible and dismissive. Donations in summer can get overwhelming and hectic. Prices can either be excellent or cause shoppers to wonder "what are they smoking," as pricing can be off-putting, like dollar store items for four dollars. A persistent issue is the systemic practice of placing staples into the front of donated clothing, which leaves holes and can render nice clothing unwearable, an act some find horribly disrespectful to both shoppers and donors.

Staff volunteers are nice. But trying to get help and someone to call you back is horrible. It's supposed to be a place you can get help when needed. Very dismissive. I personally had to ask the volunteer to allow me to go to the back to physically speak to someone

The spirit of giving and recycling continues at this Salvation Army in Stroudsburg. A great place to find a bargain in a friendly atmosphere.

Tailgated a 53' trailer there. Group was efficient and Professional. 8 pallets in under an hour.
