Just had a really nice experience at Rocky's. I had a few returns, a purchase, and was lucky to meet Meggie who was working the register. What a ray of sunshine in this cloudy, rainy day!!! Life can be stressful and rushed and we can all use a smile and uplift - thank you, Meggie and I hope I spelled your name right. Thanks, Rocky's for a positive shopping experience.

False advertising. The item I wanted to purchase came up at the register with a different price than what was marked and also was supposed to have a 50% discount applied that wasn't applied. Cashier did correct to give the discount but refused to give me the marked price so the higher, hidden price was discounted. Cashier became disrespectful when I was arguing my point and couldn't get a manager because they were "on a conference call." She told me my only options were to pay the higher price or leave without purchasing. I left without purchasing. Home Depot here I come...

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Not enough staff and the ones that are there don't want to actually help you. I needed help locating an item that the website said they had in stock. I had looked and couldn't find it, I asked for help and the salesperson told me to go to the aisle I just came from, apparently she couldn't be bothered to actually help me. I placed an online order received an email it's ready for pickup get there to be told the order was canceled.Go anywhere else but here!

The guy there gave me the wrong flag pole for my stamped steel bracket, he said it would fit but it didn't. Don't go here, the people there are stupid.

This store has quite a few sku's under roof, so convenient to stop by for bags of dirt or a key.The staff needs a re-boot in customer service. I ordered a liquid lawn fertilizer and one staff called to tell me it arrived to store. I arrive to store and no one knew anything about it. I had to return couple days later and then they mentioned it was there two days ago.A bit disorganized and noticed to some of the staff are new and like stand behind checkout counter commiserating and couldn't be bothered.I keep forgetting it's not 1989 anymore. The businesses, prices and help are way over budget.

BEST STIHL MECHANIC AROUND is employed by ROCKY'S ACE HARDWARE in Easton PA. I drove an Hour and a half to deal specifically with Kyle Winter STIHL MASTER TECH. My STIHL MS 361 is 17 years old and in great shape but required some preventative maintenance. Kyle is a Stihl Trained Master Tech who has a vast Knowledge of the STIHL Line. BEST STIHL MECHANIC AROUND is employed by ROCKY'S ACE HARDWARE in Easton PA. I drove an Hour and a half to deal specifically with Kyle Winter STIHL MASTER TECH. My STIHL MS 361 is 17 years old and in great shape but required some preventative maintenance. Kyle is a Stihl Trained Master Tech who has a vast Knowledge of the STIHL Line. He provided me with literature and guided me to a STIHL MS 261 to complement my MS361, my concern were 2 different chains and bars. Kyle had the knowledge and was able to regear the Saw for a 3/8" Chains. Now both saws have interchangeable Chains and Bars and I only need one set of files between my STIHL MS361 and MS261. He also went thru my MS361, changed the Spark Plug, Air Filter, regeared the Saw, Larger Oil Pump, Hoses, Gas and Oil filters, Small Modification on the Exhaust, new pull rope and added a set of larger dog spikes on both sides of the saws. I was not looking for Performance, but durability which Kyle Winter understood and STIHL always provided. I have processed over 100 cords of wood since owning my STIHL MS361 and the saw never had any real maintenance, I clean it, sharpen it etc. but never to this extent and it was time. The saw runs Great. The MS261 I purchased from Rocky's Ace Hardware was also advised by Kyle WInter after talking he knew what I was looking for in a Saw that had the same performance, durability and reliability as my STIHL MS361. Kyle knew the MS261 would be the perfect Saw that fit my needs. If this transaction wasn't enough I completed a Survey about my experience with the STIHL Dealer at Rocky's Ace Hardware so I filled it out. 8 Hours later the Owner of Rocky's calls me up to discuss further my experience with Kyle and Rocky's. Top Notch Family Establishment. Kyle Winter def gets my vote for Best Stihl Master Tech in the Northeast if not the Country and Rocky's Ace Hardware an Awesome Family Owned Business. I love this store. So much better service than the big boxes and at competitive prices too. Closer to home, good selection, and helpful staff. I'm in and out with what I need in less time than it takes to navigate from one end to the other of Home Depot or Lowe's!

First I was very skeptic about battery operated lawnmower when my husband bought it yesterday from our local Ace Hardware store. I insisted him why not get gasoline mower from HomeDepot. He told me Ace Hardware personnel also were very helpful to the point one of them John offered to out it in his truck & delivered to our home. Thank you John for going out of his way & delivered our new lawnmower which by the way satisfied my husband so much that he bragging for hour. Anywhere from powerful, light, convenience, & he even mowed last night in the dark with it bright headlights, he said anyone can handle this. Anyway, Ace Hardware is the place to go for us from here on?

I wanted to like this store. I had spoken with a nice woman manager upon a previous visit who had told me about all the good things she had planned for the store. She must've been new. But the incompetent management and bad attitude of the male manager changed my mind. I brought in three of my main gardening tools to be sharpened. Paid in advance. I was told to bring them in on a certain day. First time I brought them in I was told that the guy who did the sharpening had already been there to pickup for the week. OK then a week later went back to drop them off. Then a week after that to pickup and they were still sitting there, hadn't been picked up. Then a week later, same thing happened. The guy hadn't picked them up. He had apparently missed them. Now after most of my gardening is done, they are supposedly ready. I called the management to complain and got a lackluster response. Manager didn't want to be bothered. He said he would refund me the cost of sharpening one of the tools. No apologies. He even defended the incompetence of the guy who didn't pick them up... twice. This is why this store isn't doing well. The management is incompetent. Needless to say I will not be doing business with them again after this.

I originally wrote a review on December 22nd about trying unsuccessfully to exchange a floodlight that had set on fire after being purchased three weeks earlier. After being refused an exchange by the store I contacted Ace customer service and put in a complaint. I requested the corporate number and called them directly. The next day I received a call to come to the store and they gave me a replacement fixture, lightbulb and a small gift card. I was grateful that corporate responded graciously to my complaint, just wish the store had done so.

Ace Hardware store used to be such a nice local hardware store when Cantelmi owned it. They were so helpful. After it's been sold to Rocky's, it no longer feels like the same local store that I used to enjoy going to. I've heard the same from other people. You can walk around the store and not one associate ever asks you if you need help. Although it's so close, I would sooner go to the big box stores only because they are eager to help. I miss Cantelmi's!

The "neighborhood" hardware store. I can stop by & find what I need when I need it in the middle of a project without having to drive across town & wander around looking for something with my patented "big box 100 yard stare" and lose half the afternoon. I've never had a problem finding someone to answer or find an answer to a question. Is the big box store cheaper on some things...maybe, but do you pay more at a coffee takeout place because it's easier than making a cup of coffee? Service has a value to me, and they have a mini post office inside & are dog friendly-what's not to like?
