Love love love small bookshops, get certificates for holiday gifts, they have sooo many nice things and they're the backbone of a community, a center to meet and to discover and to have kids book readings, continuing the love of reading and discovering new magical stories. Absolutely amazing to meet what I assume is the owner, who shared his incredible knowledge and quite interesting, if horrifying, details of William Burroughs biography. This is to me, the most crucial difference between a corporate chain, where the clerks might be nice and courteous, and a community based shop that knows its patronage, able to share insights with its customers, connecting people to stories and ultimately, creating new stories. What the gentlemen shared with me is sensational and haunting, it was about Burroughs shooting his wife at a party, trying to perform a trick by shooting the apple she placed on her head. He missed the apple. It haunted him and now, me, what a graphic image, what a horrendous and tragic way to part with life. And what a wonderful experience and a great book i purchased, in fact the selection here while small and eclectic, is quite impeccable. I purchased Zadie Smith's new book "the Fraud" and so glad i did, I really want that book in my library. Can't wait to come back to this shop.

Wandered into this store yesterday, and if I had been alone I would have spent hours here! A very sizable collection of books for children of all ages--both popular titles and ones a bit more unknown. There is also a wall devoted to books for adults, so something can be found for every reader. The two workers there were very friendly, and we chatted a but about one of my purchases. I love that this store has such a strong collection of books that are inclusive and diverse--I had planned on buying 1 book, but left with 4 because I wanted to support this indie. This librarian will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area!

Just one of the best bookstores I’ve ever been in. The best owners and staff. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. If they don’t have it, they’ll get it in for you. If you have kids, they do readings and puppet shows. Amazing.

At B&P I’ve been able to find every children’s book I’ve ever been looking for. Except for one time, when they special ordered something for me and it took all of 48 hours. And nobody can top Andy for enthusiasm and rapport with kids.

Wonderful experience at this store. We were there with two loud excited little girls and the man working there was fine with them playing the piano for ten minutes. Guess they’re used to it with Crayola right there, but it was so nice to not feel like I had to rush them out. I really enjoyed browsing the books and various fun items.

While in the store, the owner - I suppose - started spouting off about attending and starting riots and issuing his political stance on abortion. While my young child of 9 was there and listening. I have better places to browse, let alone spend my money. Extremely poor taste. A privileged owner/manager/employer who clearly doesn't value customers in his store. Zero class. Zero of my dollars or interest. Regardless of whatever his loudmouth opinion might be.

Found this wonderful bookstore while walking through Easton. Can't believe this place doesn't have any reviews, it deserves 5 stars. Upon entering we were greeted by a nice gentlemen who let us explore the store at our own pace. We were pleasantly surprised by the vast variety of books that were culturally sensitive, with strong Black protagonist. Being a multiracial family, this is very important to us. Take a look at the great selection they had, you won't regret it. They also have story time during the week and weekends. Oh, it's also right next to the Crayola Factory! There's street parking throughout and a few public lots in the surrounding area. Can't wait to come here next time we are in Easton. If this review was helpful, show me some love.
