Excellent Weis. Friendly staff. Vegetables and fruit is fresh. Beer and wine selection is great.

They just gutted the check out area. 3/4 is now self check-out. Self check-out is fine, if you have 20 items or less..Most people don't, they have full carriages. They only have 4 lanes for regular check-out. I repeat: ONLY 4 LANES!! The small area was jammed packed with people in line waiting to check out. Such a disasterous decision from the management here. They are clueless. The basic design is mind-boggling..You have this large open , comfortable space for self check-out...20 people could perform a flash-mob sequence in here..Then the regular check-out is crammed into a ten foot space..Wierd... Especially based on the fact that Darrenkamps just closed, and thier customer influx just doubled..and they do this? Shocking..Meanwhile, you see many random employees shuffling around, observing, or doing much of nothing..Where to go now is the question..

I went to this Weis after growing up with a Weis store in my hometown everyone shopped at, and liked. I didn't think twice about buying meats, produce, and dairy... well I came to be really disappointed. I've had cheese that had mold after a day of purchasing( it wasn't clearance), and I bought a fruit tray that ended up being rotten the morning after I purchased it for a company picnic. I've given this place a few chances. I returned my fruit tray and there were people in line that had bad meat they purchased, and I'm done shopping here.

I think Weis is a great store. Their Weis brand products are usually excellent. This particular store is clean and accessible, and rarely too crowded. Granted, if you need gourmet specialties, Weis may not meet your needs. But this is where my wife and I almost always go. For basic grocery shopping, Weis is excellent.

This review would be ***ZERO STARS*** if it was an option. This store is, by far, the worst grocery store in the area. They seem to only have two people on registers at a time no matter how long the line is. But what happened tonight was the last and final straw. After purchasing a drink, we sat in the car and got to talking. Next thing we know, there are red and blue lights flashing behind us. They called the cops! I would completely understand if the store was closed, but it wasn't, and I reiterate: the store was NOT EVEN CLOSED! Next thing I see is another cop two lanes over park next another car with another two people chatting in it. Meanwhile, the employees are peeking their heads out around the corner like it's some big crime scene. NOTE TO WEIS: You're calling the cops on your patrons!? Are you guys serious!? As a local business owner myself and resident of 12 years, I find this to be bad, bad business. I never write reviews, in fact, I created this account just so I can write this review. This is just how disgusted I am.

Some of the cashiers are friendly, the selection is average, and it is decently clean. However, some of the cashiers and managers need to smile more. I waited for about ten minutes the other day with only two people ahead of me in the checkout lane. There were only two lanes open and only about 15-20 customers in the store. SO SLOW. Imagine, I had to wait that long to give them $.

We tried this store once at this location, but it really didn't satisfy our needs. They need more vegan/vegetarian, organic, and specialty items for those with dietary restrictions. As for now, Giant gets our business as they can fulfill these needs.

I'd love to shop at Weis. It's PA owned, based in PA, but they just never have the selection I want and whenever I shop here - I always spend more than when I go to Giant. Their organic and vegetarian section is lacking, and the produce never lasts more than a day/two. If I have nowhere else to go, I'll go here. Please Weis... try harder.
