I’ve been increasingly more disappointed at Goodwill. Everything they receive, they get for free. It is all donations and the prices they charge are outrageous for free, used things. Goodwill should be a place where people who are struggling can afford to buy clothes, toys, etc. and the prices are higher than Walmart for USED things. There was a planter that I saw there that you can get (new) from dollar tree for $1.25 and they were charging $3 (pictures in post). They also had nasty used flip flops that they were charging $10 for when you can get new ones at other places for like $2. It’s truly greedy and honestly disgusting that they are taking advantage of people. I took some pictures and they are with this post of how ridiculous some of the prices are. I would not recommend. I do not care to give such a greedy company my business.Everything in this store should be $5 or less unless it is furniture and then maybe $20-50 depending on the furniture. Asking $14.99 for a pair of ugly used shoes is absurd.

Honestly super disappointed in Goodwill at the moment. They accused my cousin of stealing when she had the receipt for her items. Context: my cousin wanted to make a return and realized she couldn’t (after the cashier was extremely rude to her about it), so instead she bought a few more pairs of pants and paid for them. I got in line about 4-5 minutes later behind two other girls, my cousin said she was going to the car, I asked if she paid already and she said yes, she was almost out the door when the cashier said in a snarky tone “you did?” As if she didn’t just wait on her. My aunt said “yes, I have my receipt if you need to see it.” And the cashier rolled her eyes, my cousin walked out, then the cashier began to bad mouth my cousin to the two girls in front of me, I chimed in and said she most definitely paid for her things because she’s not a thief. I put the things I was buying aside so I could see if I could find the receipt in the car, my cousin had it on her, she went in the store and showed her receipt to the cashier who waited on her and got massive attitude back from her. Not a single apology. I went back in and paid for my things, the manager tried to apologize to me, but it was very little very late. We called after we got home, they have yet to contact us about the incident. The woman who waited on us had glasses, a hearing aid and dark hair. I didn’t catch the name on her name tag, but she was extremely rude to both of us. The lack of accountability and poor customer service is very disappointing.

For a place that gets all free stuff. From everyone! It's sad how much prices went up for used things. ! And it's not worth the money they ask for things that were giving FREE!

Came here looking for a bargin......BUT....
1. The staff are extremely rude
2. They mark up the price of the items by a lot! Talk about ripping off poor people. A pot said 1.25$ on it from trader Joe's, yet they marked it up to $2.50! When I asked the lady at the front she said she just works here and the people in the back are the ones marking it up unfairly. I found better prices at Dollar General for NEW items!
I've worked and volunteered at many Goodwill stores ....this place is the WORST and I won't be back, seriously disgusting to rip off poor people, VERY Greedy!!! Hope this place closes down soon!

I visited Goodwill on January 18, 2025, between 2:30 PM and 3:40 PM, hoping to take advantage of their 50% off Friends and Family event as I will be moving to my new apt soon. However, my experience was incredibly disappointing, largely due to the rude and unhelpful staff.
I had received a coupon from my cousin, who works at a different Goodwill location in Lancaster, but since it was on my phone, I wasn’t sure how to use it. I approached the cashier (ESTHER) who was a woman with long black hair and glasses, and tried to explain my situation. Rather than helping, she immediately gave me an attitude and refused to accept the digital coupon, saying, “No pictures.” I tried to find a solution by texting my cousin for guidance, but she wasn’t responding. While I waited, I saw another customer using the same coupon. I asked her if she would be willing to share it with me, since it was on my phone, and the rude cashier glared at the customer and refused with an unhelpful expression.
The customer tried asking the cashier if it was okay to share the coupon, and the cashier responded with a condescending, “I wouldn’t do it if you don’t want to get in trouble.” Not only was this unnecessary, but it was also unprofessional and downright rude. I also spoke with a supervisor, who didn’t have the same bad attitude but still failed to assist me, even after explaining the situation. She didn’t take any action to help resolve the issue.
While the store was organized, the level of customer service was abysmal, and I felt completely disrespected. It’s not about the coupon; it’s about how I was treated. I will not be returning to this Goodwill location again, as it’s clear they have no interest in helping their customers.

This place has gotten very expensive! For a thrift store they are over priced. They had 4 identical sweatshirts each with a different price 7.95-12.99.

I just bought two pcs Corelle bowls. When I got home I noticed that one is chipped on the lid which I didn’t notice in store. They obviously (intentionally) concealed the flaw with the scotch tape. Disappointing experience.

I had a terrible experience with a staff member here. I do not recommend this place what so ever. They are picky choosy with younger customers like myself. I was treated with great disrespect . I had a cart full of things I was looking forward to buying but I chose to leave instead and I will not be back to this goodwill again.

This place is just ridiculously overpriced. $3 for a dollar tree item? It’s not even about helping people anymore. Crazy prices for items they receive completely for free. Even consignment shops that actually pay for their items sell things for less.

I come here literally all the time, and I have to say the staff is not only unique but personable and friendly. I'm genuinely glad to see a smiling face when i walk through the door. And if the cashier isn't busy I'm usually treated with a warm hello. Over all management should be proud of the current staff.

My favourite haunt! You just never know what you will find. Since they have renovated, it's even better. Make the trip. Buy yourself a good girl present. You're worth it.

The last one was better, but I think they could add more things and some new stuff. People there are really nice. But I think they could place stuff more better and not put everything in a pile
