Took my 2019 nissan to moats first thing in the morning, after leaving work because it kept making noises, and of course when I looked up what it could possibly be I panicked, as this is my only means of transportation for my son and myself. When I got there I explained what I was hearing.Hector was quick to take my car for a drive and took me with so I could help point out what I was hearing. We got back to the shop and he went right to work, he aloud me to watch what he was doing and showed me exactly what the problem was. Hector fixed it and even explained a few other things I was curious about. For example why the car dealership said that my tires are wearing more on one side than the other. He was able to put my mind at ease teaching me how and why they wear differently, knowing now that wearing can be different and they don't need to be replaced, my suspension and alignment are still okay is a weight off my shoulders and a relief. Hector was very kind,understanding and made me feel as though he took me seriously unlike the dealership does I will most definitely be going back to moats in the future thank you again the world needs more people like you.

First time using them for kerosene. I love that they pump it for you. They even load the cans into the back of your truck. I will never go anyplace else for kerosene.

I thought my battery was dead, Advanced Auto told me to go see Hector at Moat's Auto Repair since my battery was tucked too far back for them to get to it. Even though I didn't have an appointment, Hecktor did me a huge favor and was willing to take a look at it. He noticed one of the terminals was loose and tightened it for me in order to fix the problem without expecting anything in return despite me offering to pay him for his time. We will be back to Moat's for all of our car service needs from now on.

Everyone recommended I take my car here for some normal maintenance- back in June of 2023. The mechanic mistakenly never wrote my rescheduled time down. Financial reasons kept me from again, rescheduling. Fast forward to September: car STILL needs work done. My dad had called to make another appt- I made arrangements to drop it off this past Sunday. Monday morning, I get a call from Hector- why is my car there????What? Again- had to clear that up w the owner! My car is apparently done being worked on- I pick it up, and as I drive away, the squealing is even worse than before. Grrrr!I held it together- but drove it right back to the shop- and apparently "Hector" was unaware of the noise- and I had to leave my car there, AGAIN. Next day, it's completed- I made arrangements to pick it up. I had a credit card that for some reason, only covered everything BUT about $15.06. I didn't really have that money- but my ride needed to go get to a very important Dr appt. They would NOT let me take my car bc of $15.06- after ALL the hassle this took, on MY part- even after a phone call to owner- NOPE- can't take my car. I lost it immediately, which I rarely do. As a manager for a business- I know that that $15.06 could have easily been either a write off, or even a gesture for everything we have been through with THEIR lack of communication. Really??? Gave them too many chances- but the fact they were so ridiculous over a measly $15.06- they've lost a customer, but I hope to stare my personal experience to help others with their decision of where to take their car!!! Do NOT recommend!!!!

Highly recommend for your mechanic needs. He went out of his way to take the time to look at my car in an emergency situation when he could have told me he didn’t have the time and go somewhere else. Beyond helpful and super nice!
