Pros: They have multiple power racks and Olympic bars, and even a trap bar for trap bar deadlifts. No planet fitness effort alarm. Affordable monthly rate. Childcare in the evenings.
Cons: No shower, ventilation system is visibly dirty and the place is always, always, uncomfortably muggy. Pretty crowded in the evenings, but that is a small inexpensive gym thing.
They make cancellations hard, but so does every gym. What’s not so normal is they called me for an updated card after mine expired. Since I hadn’t been in a while, I told them I wasn’t going to bother with that and was canceling. They told me to write a letter, and I said I wasn’t going to do that since they couldn’t charge me. I got two or three calls like this and stopped hearing from them.
Turns out, they guessed my new expiration date and began charging me without a new authorization to use the new card. (Maybe the got it through VAU, but if that were the case I don’t expect I would have received a call in the first place and the later part of this story wouldn’t have gone so easy). This went unnoticed for about another year, until my card was used for unrelated attempted fraud. Then they began calling me again saying I needed a letter to cancel. Finally I got a manager and said “You got a year out of me where I didn’t use the gym, and thought I was not paying. You would have gone on for who knows how long if I hadn’t had other fraudulent charge attempts. As far as I am concerned I haven’t been a member for a year, but you can keep the money if you leave me alone.”
The manager agreed to just leave it, I have to assume because if I had raised a stink it might have jeopardized their ability to accept credit cards at all or put them under a microscope they were hoping to avoid. So… I would recommend joining this gym if you want to join a gym. Might even rejoin myself soon. But I wonder why all the cons that are just a bit of investment from being rectified are still there when I, for one, effectively donated them about $500. I assume that the “doesn’t know they’re being charged” club has high membership, too. Whatever you decide, I would strongly recommend using a card with a virtual number just for them and/or making sure you opt out of the automatic updater service with your bank. Because they will charge you until the end of time, and BBB reviews imply their “write us a letter” process doesn’t really fix it 100% of the time.
Actually, I should probably check they still aren’t charging me.

I set up an appointment with Tyeshia on yesterday based on an online survey I submitted to Fitness 19. From the very first conversation she was a pleasant, personable, professional just overall warm disposition. A phenomenal first impression.
We sat down & discussed my health goals as well as the class schedule where She recommended classes that support my goals.
When visiting the gym I joined the very same day eager to get started!! Tyeshia performed my assessment & 1st complimentary workout it all went very well!
The environment is very community friendly. I felt very comfortable & confident. Looking forward to the workout and class sessions ahead.

The gym itself and trainers are excellent. However, I joined in January and had to put my membership on a freeze...not knowing I was being charged an annual fee of $39, while on a freeze and have not been a member for a year, not even 6 months! I was never informed of an annual fee during anytime of signing up for a memebership or putting my memebership on a freeze. Definitely, canceling the membership tomorrow. Truly frustrating.

This fitness 19 location goes above and beyond to make sure their patrons are taken care of on a consistent basis. Machines are always fine tuned and if they go down, it’s only for a short period of time. The facility is clean, safe, and friendly. I recently experienced a senior moment. Where I left my phone at the gym, and we couldn’t find it. The owner Help me go through trash cans look under machines and spent a good 30 minutes with me until I found my phone. FYI, it was dropped in the parking lot. I Have been a member since it opened, and highly recommend this facility.

Awesome fitness center! Clean, well-equipped, and not too crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is super motivating. Great place to work out!

This is the best gym I’ve ever been too!
The family atmosphere, great staff and trainers make me feel welcomed every time. Very affordable and offer great workout classes! Highly recommend!

I joined last year , I never got a chance to attend because I was severely bitten by a dog in March 24. I called and spoke to someone *male, he was extremely helpful and he stopped the payments from coming out of my account. He told me to call or come in when I was ready to come back. I have not been cleared to workout yet due to how bad my bite was. payments begin to come out of my account in Aug 24 and has continues. I have called 4 times and spoke to associates who informed me that a manager would call me back each time ! And I still have not received a call !

Nickle and dim when you are canceling the membership. Was told there will one further charge. Ended up paying the monthly fee and the yearly (even though, will not be using gym thru out 2025)
