Had gotten our Loags Thanksgiving turkeys for years through a local butcher who closed shop this year. Went direct to the farm in 2022. It was convenient and well organized.

This was the first year my family got a turkey from here. It was the best one we have ever had. Super clean, nicely packaged. Very juicy and tender meat. We will be back next year for another one!

My family enjoyed the most beautiful, juicy and tender 22 pound turkey from this local farm for Thanksgiving this year. Thank you and bless you. I have enjoyed your flowers this year as well!

Why would anyone buy turkey from a farm whereby the turkey were not pastured and allowed to roam freely? Wow. Highly disappointed to learn this.

We normally have a big family thanksgiving but with COVID restrictions 2020 was the first year we only had 6 of us for dinner. I have a friend who lives out there in Chester County and we drove by it. I was intrigued. I suggested to my family that we get a small fresh bird instead of the usual frozen supermarket turkey. We ordered the smallest they offer (10-12lbs). Picked it up the Tuesday before thanksgiving. Got it home, patted it dry, pulled out the neck and the giblets and then proceeded to spatchcock it. Made a compound butter with fresh sage, rosemary and thyme. Rubbed the butter both under and over the skin. Roasted it on high at 450 for 20 minutes. Basted it and lowered the heat to 350. Basted again several times until the thigh bone temperature reached 165. Let it rest for a half hour and then started carving. It was so tender, the drumstick and thighs practically fell off as I transferred it from the roasting pan to the cutting board! Because it was spatchcocked it only took about 2 hours! And the breast meat was tender, juicy and really flavorful. I didn't use any salt because I used salted butter and I know gravy is usually on the salty side. It was pure poultry perfection!! This year we had 8 people for dinner and we ordered the 12-14lb which came in around 13lbs. This time I used 3 sticks of butter but didn't change anything else. It took longer of course but still less than 3 hours. Thankful for Loag's Corner Turkey Farm for sure! Except now we're spoiled and I don't think we can go back to frozen supermarket turkey now.

Turkeys are confined even though the farm has land, they are never let out. Not pastured, no natural diet.
