Just did first takeout at Taipei kitchen in Mechanicsburg. Food is delicious. We got the bourbon chicken, broccoli and garlic sauce and pork fried rice. Each one was really flavorful and well prepared. Wishing them the best for a long business, life and Mechanicsburg.

We just left here and wow! The food was tasty hot fresh and some of the best Chinese food I've had in awhile. The gentleman behind the counter made it even more of a pleasure. What an incredibly nice man.

I AM DISGUSTED. I ordered tonight because they delivered, my broccoli had a WORM on it. I will never order again and if I could give zero stars I would.

Great place to quickly snag some food for a great price. Strongly recommend the egg rolls, I get them all the time.

More broccoli than chicken in the hot and spicy chicken. Also it's only mildly spicy. It is fast and easy though. There is a lot of better Asian food out there so unless your in a hurry I would try another.

Food was not pleasant. My orange chicken was tough and overcooked. When I brought it back to the store, the cashier was looking all through the bag and asking d*** questions. Got my money back from customer sevice. Will not order food here again.

Simple dishes are the hardest to make. Try the pork fried rice - fragrant, layered, and unassuming from first to the last bite. Everything I have tried has been spot on. Not cloyingly sweet or a salt bomb - the food is a delightful experience and yes, I am talking about Americanized Chinese food. Highly recommend finishing the meal with their donut bites - sweet and pillowy - oozing with nostalgia.

It continues to puzzle me why this area is so lacking good Chinese food. I mean can we have 10% of what we get in Edison NJ or 1% from Chinatown? By and large, we get only Americanized Chinese food here. When I saw "Taipei" in this name, I was so excited because I normally associate "Taipei" with Taiwanese cuisine, nothing to do with Americanized Chinese food. Then I saw it's within the Giant Supermarket so my hope dropped. I read the online menu. Yep, all Americanized dishes. Nevertheless, I made an order anyway because my son was really fussing for fried rice and lo mein.Upon further research, it turns out this is only 1 of the 5 locations in the Harrisburg area, plus 4 more further away. I found the stall inside Giant. It doesn't really stand out as a separate establishment but one of the 3 counters behind the prepared food department ("Meals & Sides") within the supermarket. There are cooked dishes displayed under the counter just like Panda Express. So technically, you don't have to order online but just order on the spot and get your food right away. I had an opportunity to chat with the staff as it wasn't busy at the time. They were quite friendly and even offered me a couple of complimentary Chinese donuts. The food was on par with what I expected for American Chinese dishes, but the serving size was rather generous. For that (the value), the friendliness of its staff, the convenience of its location, and last but not least -- the free donuts, I added one star to my rating. I did grab a copy of their menu and spotted 2 less typical dishes (potentially more authentic kind) that I might want to give a try. So there will be future visits.
