First Yelp is not the most reliable place to read a review. They have a hard time putting the right store etc, with the right state but Yelp is good for a laugh. Now About Weis Supermarket in Ephrata Pennsylvania not California or Wisconsin where this company does not do business. Although many areas have a market called Weis just not this company just read the short Bio above. I have been shopping here for many years along with the many other markets in the area including Walmart which is always out of stock cause they do not like to pay for extra help, so empty shelves. The sales here are great so you can really save there on groceries and meats. The store has gone through many changes over the years, remodeling and managers and some were definitely better than others. My last trip in they were putting in new dairy cases for their customers which was nice. A family and of course senior citizens can stretch their dollars here. Use their ads and you can plan a whole weeks menu plus gets 10 cents for every $50 you spend off gas, nice! Pharmacy is great and very helpful there also. Always willing to explain or answer any questions you may have. They really have a nice team there, it's the only pharmacy we will use. Weis also has online ordering, store pickup and home delivery which is very handy. I use my coupons there as they double and there Fantastic Friday's are good also especially at the holiday. The one thing I do not like is that the ad for Fantastic Friday is no longer in the paper but you can go on to there website. Oh, and by the way I have been shopping here for over 25 years!

One of the items I always buy is on the top shelf of the dairy section. Typically 9 out of 10 times the stockers pull ONE of the items to the front and then leave the others unreachable. I have to climb up on the second shelf balancing on my cart and then drop the items into my cart. The BEST part is... every time I have done this except ONCE an employee WATCHES me do this and NEVER ONCE has offered to help. If Walmart had the granola bars I like I would never step foot into this store. Oh and the cart guy continues to ask me for a tip every time he takes my cart.

Was nearby and decided to go to Weis to but stamps and see about sending an envelope since the store by me , had a fire and is currently closed I though I will have the letter sent when they come to pick up the mail at the Ephrata store. Waited 20 minutes with 2 other customers while one of the 2 IMBECILES behind the counter stood there DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ! What does that IDIOT get paid for ?

Discriminatory practices that need to stop. My friends son went in for a job interview and was given the job on the premise that he would put his given name on his name tag. He is trans so that would mean using his birth name which he has not used and doesn't identify with. How can you have in your policies that you don't discriminate , but discriminate? If he had a really long name would you make him write it all out? This is 2018. Get with the program.

Discrimination practices in place, I would never shop here knowing they are okay with discriminating against anyone. Friends son would not take a job here after it was offered because they would not allow him to use the name he prefers over his birth name. Ridiculous. Its 2018, get a life and fire that pos manager.

I pretty much like Weis in general. This particular one is just ok. It's pretty clean. The staff is friendly. They have a beer cafe, deli counter, bakery, seafood and meat department. The prices here a little crazy. Don't get me wrong they do have some good deals sometimes, but there meat prices are crazy. Another issue I have is a lot of the time the shelves are not stocked. I have been here multiple times and there are numerous things I want to purchase but they aren't in stock it's annoying. So it's hit or miss. Maybe I should go to the beer cafe before I start shopping, then I wouldn't care

New to the area and trying to figure out between weis or giant to shop at. Giant is more expensive and requires 100 for 10 cents off gas but every shopping trip adds up. Apparently at weis you only have to spend 50 for 10 cents off but each trip has to be 50 then or it doesnt count. Spent 45 today and 28 friday and get 0 in gas back. Guess giant gets my buisness from now on
