We recently had to clean out and sell my mother-in-law’s home. The task was extremely overwhelming. There were large pieces of heavy machinery in a basement shop along with a lifetime worth of “stuff” in the house. We went with Horst and feel soooo lucky that we did! This business is the definition of family owned and operated. We had one generation of the Horst family come out and talk to us about what they would sell. We then had another family member come out and remove the items. The entire process was so smooth. I was shocked at what all they took (it made things so much easier for us with cleanup). The men that came to remove items were all local and trustworthy. I can’t say enough good things about our experience using Horst Auctioneers. It was such a smooth and easy process.

If Horst wasn't so far from my home, I'd be there all the time. Fun, old-fashioned, in-person auctions that are full of stuff, week in and week out. Their gun auctions are the best in-person auctions around, what an amazing selection. And they don't charge a buyer's premium. How do they do it...

Very up front on procedure and sale rules, but VERY disappointed in return on items...I do not think anyone appraises the items or sorts them for a better sale..do not think they knew what some of the items were
