Bad from got go, my fiancé and I show up and first I would have to wait because the cars are being washed…. All of them?? Now they cant find my reservation, I provided the whole email with confirmation number, Finaly the problem is my “Debit” card. It’s a Bank of America Visa debit. Those cards don’t work with us, but sir we have used enterprise and Alamo in the past, with this card.. umm well mam it’s because this is an airport Alamo so that’s why your card won’t work…now I’m genuinely sad because I’m out here for surgery and was hoping to have a rental leasing up to it. Now I’m stranded. Thanks Alamo you guys rockEdit, I reached out to care and nothing came of it

I just came from picking up my reservation and even though I had adequate money on my debit card they would not take it. My card works as both a debit and credit card. They still said no. Now I'm left in a lurch and alamo will never get my business again. I've used my card numerous times at Budget with no problem. Nothing anywhere in my reservation says I HAVE TO HAVE A CREDIT CARD! Thank you for ruining things for me Alamo. I should have stayed with Budget. I won't make that mistake again.

The girl at the counter was very dismissive. She didn't try to help me out or fix the problem. She had a very "tough s#$%" attitude with me. I didnt know that at the airport location I needed a credit card when I made the reservation. I arrived at 12:30 when they opened, had my reservation, my payment ready to go, and I was pretty much denied completely all because of this lack of a credit card. She handed me a business card to call the local Alamo locations since they should accept debit cards, but they all closed at noon. (So why debit cards accepted everywhere but the airport?) So an Alamo employee doesn't know when the other local Alamos are open? When I tell her that, she didn't try very hard to help me out, or even have a sense of compassion, I was pretty much ignored. Like I said, she was very callus about everything. Never again will I rent from Alamo. So my money wasn't good enough for them. Cheaper prices or not, the customer service was horrible.

Check in process was super fast and easy. I was in/out in only a couple minutes. They even gave me a choice of 3 different vehicles--never had that happen before.

We will never again use this company! We were on a toll road and stopped to pay cash at two different tolls on a particular route in our rental car. At the exact same time, we were being charged by the rental company for these tolls, plus an added FEE by them for having the pleasure of paying our tolls for us! Wow, thanks for this incredible service! Advice:. If there are tolls, drive right through or you're just going to be paying double!

Rented a car from Alamo in North Carolina. The people were really nice. But I purchased the extra insurance online. Then when I picked the car up the lady said they don't honor the insurance online. So therefore I had to purchase their insurance. If i had known that I would have gone through my insurance and gotten insurance cheaper. I guess I will know for next time. I also went in and had another driver added to my car and told them I wanted to add a driver for two days. The people signed up the other driver and didn't mention that the person is signed up for 5 days. I asked for two days and they didn't say anything to me. We asked them if we called back to add the other person for one more day if we could do that. They said yes. But I guess it was added for 5 days anyways. Didn't know that. I tried calling the airport (Wilmington) to get a refund for 3 days. I kept getting actual Alamo place not the airport. The guy I talked to refunded me 2 days. He said if I wanted another day refunded I would have to call the airport. I told him that is who I have been calling and I get actual Alamo not the airport. He said they must be busy and the call goes to actual Alamo. So I would have to probably call the airport and ask for the Alamo rental area. Wow.. what a pain!!!

I made a reservation I called in gave all my info they told me car will be ready. Five minutes before pickup I get called saying they no longer have any cars for rent. Never again.

Had rented a car in Erie, Pa on Wednesday December 20th. Was set to return on Tuesday, December 26th. Due to record breaking snowfall and a state of emergency, I was unable to return till Wednesday December 27th at 8:30 Pm. Was charged over $100 extra. When Alamo called I told them I was happy. This was before I knew how much extra I was charged. I have rented from Alamo many times in the past year. This is how my loyalty is rewarded? Huge charge during a state of emergency when police told drivers to stay of the road. Time to look at Budget or Hertz.

I rented a car online from erie alamo and when i got there i was told if i flew in i could rent a car but because i didn't my visa debt couldn't be accepted.worst experience ever.if i could leave a no star i would.

I made a reservation, have a confirmation number, showed up to pick up my car and they tell me when I get to the desk that they have no cars. Megan was very nice but I still don't have a car to use. She stated it happens all the time. I would book with a different company.
