Very warm, welcoming place featuring many local artists' work along with custom framing. I had gone in on a completely unrelated topic which was not art. The very pleasant woman working informed me about my inquiry and what had happened. Afterwards, she gifted me with two pieces on the subject matter. Free! These items were from 2000. I'm not sure how long she had them but... gives them to me for nothing. I am grateful for that individual, I hope she sees this. At least stop in and look around!

I used them to mount a signed athletic jersey. The mount came out perfect.

Unless you are a local artist with ability to keep an eye on things, I would not trust these folks to sell my art. My experience with KADA, when my wife, Suzi Druley passed away Kathy asked if I could send more of Suz's art. I sent approximately 20 pieces, 50 pieces of Kingman Arizona Turquoise pendants. Also in the box was some beaded jewelry Suz made and a pen and ink of a weathered old Indian man's face. This was packaged in a tube. Over the years when we sent Suz's art, Suz always had a hard time naming her pieces. Kathy would do this then send Suz a detailed inventory. Kathy also said she'd pay me for the turquoise upon arrival, never happened. I only learned of Joe's passing from an Ebay customer who wanted more of Suz's work. I did call Kathy, so sorry to hear of Joe's passing, then she told me the gallery was for sale. Had I known this I wouldnt have sent additional artwork. Still here in New Mexico it isnt worth the drive to me, plus what do you do once you get there? Now my health is failing, Im on borrowed time and I did call the gallery to see if they would send this work back to me. I talked with a woman named ANN and she told me Kathy had taken Suz's artwork with her when she left the gallery. I called Kathy again and she told me the work was still at the gallery and she would call me back. She never calls. So, it looks like Im getting the run around. About a month ago I did write the gallery to request all of Suz's work be returned to me. They just ignore me. I was never sure of the proper spelling carma / karma. So I figure whats the worst Kada can do? Not return Suz's art? Bad business will come back and bite you, it ALWAYS works that way. I do hope that you folks never ever sell another piece of her work. I still must write another Facebook review and a complaint with the BBB. David Druley

Oh KADA, Im so disappointed with you folks. When my wife, Suzi Druley passed away, Kathy asked if I could send more of Suz's art. I sent a package / box with approximately 20 pieces, 50 pieces of turquoise pendants which Kathy said she'd pay me on receipt. There was also some beaded jewelry Suz had made. Also in the package was a pen and ink drawing of a weathered Indian man's face, this was packaged in a tube. Suz always had a hard time naming her pieces, so Kathy named them, then sent an inventory of the pieces and their new name. This didnt happen this time. I only learned of Joe's passing from a Ebay customer of mine that wanted more of Suz's work. She went to the gallery, then sent me an email of Joe's passing. I did call Kathy, sorry to hear of the bad news, thats when she told me the Gallery was for sale. Then Kathy told me she had sold the Gallery. Now, my health is declining, my doc said I may not see another birthday, this was last March. I feel like Im on borrowed time right now. I called and asked Ann about sending Suz's art back to me. Ann told me Kathy had taken all of Suz's art with her when she left the Gallery. I talked with Kathy again and she said she didnt take Suz's art with her. Oh the run around. Im still in New Mexico, the drive to Erie isnt worth it to me. Kathy has always been a trusted friend, so now Im not sure who is cheating who. I did write a letter about a month ago to the KADA gallery requesting they send me any unsold artwork back to be, of course that was ignored also. I think now KADA gallery has lost any integrity, In my opinion. I think the new owner has some honesty issues, or is it Kathy? Someone within the KADA universe has stolen from us. Bad Carma guys, coming your way. It always works that way. Im also going to write a Google review and I will file a complaint with the BBB. David Druley

Highly recommended The Kada Gallery for any framing needs you may have. The staff was very friendly and their work was extremely high quality. Will definitely be using them again in the future.

Whenever I'm in town I make a point of stopping at the Kada Gallery. Growing up in Erie I never realized that there were art galleries. Those were fantastical places that only existed in larger cities like New York or L.A., and we're manned by pretentious hipsters in unrelieved black. This place is nothing like that. Although in a fairly high end local commercial area, the place almost has the feeling of walking into a home. While the main room is what you might expect to see when thinking of an "art gallery" the rest of the place is an eclectic plethora. The oxymoron "ordered chaos" comes to mind. Many of the walls are hung salon style, and nearly every surface is covered in some type of art. They have a wide array of pieces. Most of it seems to be in the traditional style but there are some modern and a few funky surrealist pieces. One of my favorite artists featured there is a woman by the name of Mindy Duncan. If visiting you must check out her work or Brad Lethaby's figurative pieces. The place is quite a bit larger inside than it appears from the street, going much deeper into the building. Aside from the art museum I believe it is the largest place to view original artwork in the city of Erie. Although sizable, it has such a personal feel to it. When you walk in you are almost always greeted by the owner, who is more than happy to help you select framing or tell you about every artist and painting within the place, should you choose to ask. Most of the framing work is done by her husband in the gallery's lower level. All and all it truly is a wonderful place that is worth a look if you have a passion for art. It's in a merchant center where every one of the businesses are locally owned, and as such many of the shops around it are unique as well. My only criticism is that it can get a little warm in there during certain months of the year, but it's still a great place to unwind and spend a lazy summer afternoon.
