Giant Eagle and co is so, so overpriced. It's honestly absurd how expensive they are compared to literally everyone and anyone else! What really sucks is that they're the only place you can seem to find Cheerwine.

Only a single register open ~1hr before close. Had to wait nearly 10 minutes to check out with a single item. All self checkout lanes were closed as well despite several employees standing around seemingly doing nothing…
And this isn’t the first time I’ve seen something like this at this location. A month or so ago I was in around a similar time, and again only a single register open. The clerk rang up the customer in front of me incorrectly and by the time it was noticed, the transaction had already been processed. They refused to correct it since they had already shut down the only register that apparently could process returns according to the teenage cargo-pant-wearing “manager” who was unprofessionally sitting on the adjacent counter and had an incredibly rude attitude…
I recently moved back to the area after living out of state for 10 years and remember Market District being a PREMIUM brand. Proximity to a premium supermarket was a selling point of the property I purchased. Prices are still at a premium but service is disappointing even for a budget brand. So why not brand this store simply as Giant Eagle and lower prices if unwilling to offer a premium customer experience?

This is my favorite grocery store. I love the cleanliness, organic options, Starbucks, the shopping carts, and the bakery.

I never leave reviews. Until I bought a birthday cake decorated by ALLI. Gorgeous! I wanted to leave a review on proper site, but threw out recpt and needed code. Anyway, Alli made my Aunt’s cake so special. It was gorgeous and only $22!

Not sure if it is the deli or the help, but when I ask on my pick up order for deli to slice my meat thin it is IGNORED! 3 slices of turkey so thick it weighed .25 lb. Unacceptable!

There is such a quality difference from market district and regular giant eagle. We call this the bougie one. Best cinnamon bread ever!!!

I enjoy the variety of fruits/ vegetables, wines, and specialty foods. I wish their fish section didn't smell, no matter when I have gone over past six months that area of store makes me nauseated. It looks clean, but has that off-putting odor.
