Great company, very responsive customer service and very nice people to deal with. Rick installed a Sonos system in our home 10 years ago and whenever I’ve called about an issue we needed help with he has come to the house personally that day or the next to troubleshoot and fix the problem. Most recently, he installed a whole house WiFi booster system called Eero which has been a lifesaver for those of us working from home. Two weeks ago we had issues with our cable tv connection and Rick came out and troubleshot that as well. Julie is also lovely to deal with and went to great lengths at the last minute to get a technician here to fix some wiring needed before a Verizon installation. Highly recommend Audio Video Consultants!

Coolest Home Theater store in Exton. Rick is a cool person with a nice store. My dad got Revel speakers from here that look and sound great.

A great experience all around. We had a TV and Sonos bar installed. It was a somewhat difficult installation in a shallow wall, in an older home. The installer showed up on time, and took the time to think the project through in order to hide all wiring. The installer's attention to detail gave us a result that surpassed our expectations. We are very happy with the system.

My experience was much different that the other review on here. I got Rick's name from my Daughter-in-law. Her friend did an entire whole house with everythng from AVC. Rick was straightforward, didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and was extremely helpful in getting my components and Sonos going throughout the new house. I wouldn't use anyone else and I found their prices to about the same if not a little less than people like Best Buy.

1 star is being overly generous. I've had a miserable experience with audio visual consultants. I had tens of thousands of dollars worth of work performed at my home. I too had a similar problems with the $85 per hour labor. They would send four guys over to work my labor bill would be 3000 dollars by the end of the day. quite a surprise when you get the bill after weeks worth of work .concerning the Lutron lighting system the programming aspect was a disaster. Three years later and it was not functioning properly. I recently hired another contractor to finish the job, in 4 hours he had the whole thing reprogrammed and working perfectly. They were unable to accomplish this after multiple visits and three years. I recently took their original quote and send it to another contractor for bid. On the Lutron lighting portion of the project the other local reputable company was eight thousand dollars les Shame on me for not bidding out the project, I really trusted this guy in the beginning only to get ripped off. He kept swearing he was giving me his grandmothers prices what a good deal it was. Since researching it I found it was no deal at all in fact I was being charge more then every other place I checked significantly more. Absolutely positively stay away from these people at all costs. They do not know what they're doing and their liberal with the billing. There are several other contractors in the area much what better versed in this type of work.

Poor experience with AV Consultants. It all started well, needed some simple wiring done for my home theater hook up. Quoted $85 per hour for labor plus parts as needed. Once they arrived, they were nice enough but clearly unfamiliar with the equipment (projector, screen, etc). They stated they normally do wiring installs in new construction. I was then told I needed a $400 part (Balun) to get my set up to work, which I didnt, but agreed to. After spending 1 hr to hook up the Balun, it didnt work. After 4 hours total, I didnt have a working theater room, and was told I owed $712 in labor. Shocked, I asked for clarification and was told it was $89 per hour per man. First, I was never told the "per man" part, which is a pretty important fact, plus it was supposed to be $85ph, and lastly 4 hours to complete it total, not 4 hrs to be half way done. So I call Rick, the manager I had dealt with, and after lengthy discussion we agree on 4 hours of labor (even though I was supposed to get 4 hours for a whole system). I pay the $340, and... 1 week later I get a bill in the mail for the remainder. This place is poorly run, with inexperienced professionals, and poor service. You are better off going to BestBuy compared to them. If you are looking for a true custom AV install service, try another place, wish I had.
