This is an extraordinary place! Their hardware is well-made and looks great, and service is even better. The previous owner of our house had taken the bolt out of the rim lock on the front door, and two locksmiths passed on fixing it. When we took the lock off the door and went to Ball and Ball (on the advice of a restoration specialist), it turned out they knew exactly how to fix it which they did very promptly. Every aspect of our interaction with them was pleasant and their interventions effective with reasonable pricing.

If you like antique fixtures or have a house that is in need of quality fittings this is the place to go. The place is located on rt 30 in Exton. It is definitely a hidden treasure. The people are very warm and welcoming. I had a door knocker in need of polishing and sealant. Bob was very friendly and said he had time to do it. It took about a half hour and it was done beautifully! Bob did an excellent job!

It's been years since I was here, but the hardware they had then was fabulous! Hard to find items available.

The best of the best when it comes to reproductions or high end Brass repairs. Nobody does it better. I have used them over 100 times in my 30 years of restoration.

Very cool stuff. Plays more to the colonial/Chester county inn type decor.Lots of things made on site in their foundry. Owners are right there for questions and customization.

Several times I've sent samples of brass hardware to Ball & Ball for duplication or replacement. My complaint is I can not tell the difference between the parts they made for me and the sample :) . Absolutely awesome workmanship every time. Ray Spencer

Bob KNOWS! He is the go to for anything mechanical that needs fixing! From anything brass or old antique iron beds to striker plates, and keys for old carpenter locks! I would NEVER go anyplace else! IS THERE ANYPLACE ELSE? Nope! Even lamp part refinishing-to silver sugar bowls and old brass for your clocks. I love this place! We love the three hour drive because it's a fun outing seeing our "go to" man, Bob, for fixing whatever!

The store is like going to a museum of fine collectables. We had them make a brass hinge for us, it turned out fantastic.

Needed to get a copy of a hard-to-find piece of antique lock hardware for a prestige client in Manhattan. Tried everyone in the NYC area. Ball & Ball actually had an identical piece of one of the items in their stock of classic hardware. They were able to make an accurate, good-looking reproduction of the other within my deadline. They are currently working on my second order. Knowledgeable and friendly folks. Cost-effective. Highly recommend them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE (By the way it's the owners) SLOW ORDER TURNAROUND. NO CHECKOUT PROCESS. NO ORDER CONFIRMATION. QUESTIONABLE CREDIT CARD SECURITY. Placed order 2 weeks ago. No information on the website regarding production or delivery time. Called Customer Service and spoke to a hungover and/or disinterested individual to place my order. Credit card info had to be communicated verbally because they do not have a checkout on the site. No confirmation emails until 3 additional calls had been placed to Customer Service. Now my card has been compromised. This is the ONLY company to whom credit card data was given over the phone. I asked what processes were in place to protect my data and was met with vagaries and denials instead of "we've never had any issues, we have x, y, and z in place to protect our customer data, tell me what happened and we'll look into it, or thank you for letting us know". Clearly these people have no idea how to run a customer focused organization. Still haven't received my order. Called again today. No information except "maybe it will get there this week". Now his tone has become quite rude and condescending, "I shouldn't expect a custom item quickly...it's not like a clock can be made in a day". I asked to whom I was speaking - it turns out it's one of the owners. It must be nice to own a business and treat your customers so poorly. I inform him that production and delivery information is not communicated on the site - nor by any of customer service person reps that have had to be contacted over the past two weeks. Both my customer and I are extremely disappointed and very unhappy with Ball and Ball.
