I went to UTI in 2021. The price they charge is absolutely not worth the education you or your child is going to receive. I made the most of my time there but all of the knowledge I use on a daily basis is things I learned working at my job after graduating and not from this school. On top of that when I went there it was half online and half in person. Paying 45K to watch a prerecorded video of someone standing in front of a white board as your lesson is a complete joke

The most retarded place to ever waste your time and money. Complete scam. You will learn more knowing nothing and starting at a dealer or shop

My son just graduated from here. He went in knowing literally nothing about tools or diesel engines. They give hands on experience, online homework, and the instructors are available to help outside of class. They help you make a resume before you leave and have resources to help you find a job while you are in school and after you graduate. Their career assistance is forever. You can call them 50 years later to help you find a job. I'm very proud of my son, and know it was because of this school that he will work in a career he loves.

UTI was an EXPERIENCE! Full of ups and downs but at the end of the day worth it. Shoutout to the instructors that the journey fun and worthwhile. Thank you Mr. Williams for setting the tone course 1, without you giving us the right foundation the journey probably would’ve been different. Thank you Mr. Beam for keeping things cool and always being a listening ear and giving great advice even when I’m not in your classes. Thank you Mr. Mac for always making classes interesting. Thank you Mr. Benfield for dropping so much knowledge and gems for race day! Also Mr. Secundo for topping off that knowledge, with all I learned from you guys I can confidently build a “fast car.” Thank you Mr. Gieswein, Mr. “Little” Clark, and Mr. Niggles for making me fall in love with the diesel world.I had to save the best for last. Thank you Mr. Gibbs for really showing me the values of a great technician. We spent 6 weeks together which you dropped so many gems which I already utilize in my technician career. Thank you for always keeping me in check when the battle got rough and it seemed like I was slipping away. You are my biggest role model at UTI I’ll always remember your words and inspiration! We’ll always be down the block around the corner.

I don’t and have never gone to this school, so if you’re considering it this review probably won’t have any weight on your opinion. However, I have lived and worked in this area basically my entire life and the school and its students have had a noticeable effect on the area. When you have a uniform for your school and the students are causing problems, they are representing you. I don’t want to come off as a “Karen”, but it’s to a point where it’s dangerous. The area itself is very upper-middle class with half-million dollar homes right around the corner. Lots of kids and older populations. On their breaks and before and after school, students tend to speed around, weaving in and out of traffic as well as racing each other. Accidents have been a direct result of this, even one leading to the death of a student (the flowers are right at the intersection of 100 and the road UTI is on. Just recently they had to reserve the second lane of a small section of 100 for buses and trucks only because UTI students were constantly using it to drag race. It’s a spot that helped a lot during rush hour, but now everyone is confined to one lane. I’m not gonna begin to get into the behavior of the students while en mass in local businesses, that’s a whole different topic of its own.I know you can’t really babysit adults that want to act like children, but when you have hundreds of them representing your company/school/whatever causing problems, you’d think maybe you’d try to crack down on some of this. Though, I’m pretty sure I’ve heard the place is more about money than caring about its students success or the local community, so doubt anything will change until more people die. I can tell you that all the shop owners I know in the area won’t hire people coming from UTI, so if you do go to the school don’t become too attached to it.

I didn’t attend UTI, I know not a soul whom has. In fact, I’m only leaving this comment after first reading all the others.I noticed all those that left under two (2) stars had horrific grammar and punctuation. Whilst those whom left three (3) stars and above (although some were still pretty silly to read) had a better grasp on what grammar ever was.Yikes!

The school isn't worth it. My son went here. This isn't a hands on learning experience. What they say at the orientation isn't true. I don't recommend this school for kids with learning disabilities. They don't offer the recourses needed. The cost is also out of sight. I believe a community college would be better. Community Colleges are less money and offer support to those with learning disabilities. They suspended my son for 6 weeks. As he had difficulty with the test. You have to have a certain grade in all of your classes. If you don't meet that criteria you are suspended. You than have to reapply. They knock you right out of their whole system. This happens after you don't make the recommend grade for 3 classes. It's a lot of money to have to owe. It definitely sets you up for being in a whole lot of debt before reaching age 25.

Recent graduate here.Mr.Peck made the LRC an absolute blast when doing homework. His knowledge and sense of humor were exactly what an instructors should be. He's helped me a lot in the year that I was there. He's UTI's greatest asset.Mrs.Loretta, she's wonderful to be around. Great personality, customer service skills are great. Whenever I had down time I'd go to Mrs. Loretta at the LRC because I knew she'd listen. It's people like her that make the world just that much sweeter.

My school went here for a senior trip on March 13! I personally am not very interested in cars and other automobiles inner workings but our tour guide was wonderful, he obviously had a lot of passion for this school and it was very refreshing to see someone love their job so much! Although I'm not likely to attend the school in my life time I genuinely feel appreciation and awe for this school and all those who attend! Definitely a recommend for any parents wanting to give their tech savvy and aspiring young mechanic children to give this school a try!

I’m a welding student if you are considering coming to this school to learn a skill you will be badly mistaken everything is backwards and wrong half the people/teachers don’t know what they are doing and the scrap metal is all you work with unless it’s a graded lab so you better get good with a grinder but you can’t because out of the 30 grinders in there maybe 5 will have a wheel on it and a line 5 people deep waiting to use it. All in all I’d take your money anywhere else or buy your own welder and metal you will get a lot more experience that way. NO CERTIFICATIONS EITHER SO ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

School is fantastic, the teachers are awesome, tools everything is supplied.I did the BMW fast track program here and loved it very much except for one thingThe one negative is CHS, their housing serviceThe office lady denise didn’t report that I graduated and has now almost costed me $2600 in lease termination fees, late fees, etc because she didn’t report that we talked the day I graduated and that I called her to confirm I can leave my key on the kitchen counterAfter almost 2 months they take off the lease termination ($1700) and still want me to pay a months rent + late fee for a month I never even attended because she never reported I left my key and they never did an inspection.Somehow they’re mistake is my misfortune and is costing me moneyThe CHS office will not answer emails, the only way to get in contact with them is to leave a message and hopefully pick up their call backI’ve had to start talking to another CHS office because they will actually help me, if this continues I don’t see a solution besides having to contact some sort of lawyer because I am not going to pay money for rent I never lived there forI’ve sent all the paperwork they’ve asked for and yet still are trying to get me for a months worth of rent I don’t owe because I didn’t live thereIt is unfortunate I even have to post this because everyone makes mistakes and forgets to post things or update something but instead of fixing it and admitting fault this has seemingly just been pushed to the next person, and then the next, etc and now here I am having to write this to let other people know this is a the sort of thing that might happen to themInstead of just solving this the first time we talked and realized something was wrongI really do hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears like all my emails have, thank you
