Took my car in because I had some bad bearings in the rear diff. They call back 2 days later and give me a whole list of stuff that “needs fixed” a couple things were actually true, and then they put “possible rear diff bearing” at the bottom of the list. Like yes, that’s why it’s in your shop. Also told me I needed all new rear brakes including calipers, which the calipers were fine and I had done rotors and pads 2 weeks prior. When told this they said “oh well we didn’t wanna take things apart and give you all those labor charges”. Well, you can see that they’re brand new through the wheel and it takes not 30 seconds to get a wheel off. Additionally, stuff that was actually wrong with the car (a small but easy to spot coolant leak and front shocks) wasn’t on this list. Ended up charging me $115 for a list of lies and stuff I already knew. Don’t take your car here, every other shop I’ve been to around here won’t charge to just look at your car.

Bonanti Transmissions is simply the best garage I have ever dealt with. I had to have a full rebuild and they walked through the entire process with me and made contact with me during the entire process. If you go to any other Transmission people you are doing yourself an injustice. Trust Bill.

We brought our car to this mom and pop shop. The owner test drove the car, and did not verify our problem. Problem was a worn carrier bearing. Took the car next day to get state inspection and it was verified to be worn and needed replaced. Very disappointing experience

Very professional and thorough people. Over the last 25 yrs. Bill and his crew repaired four different transmissions on four different vehicles (I drive them to 250K miles), I always go back because he is good and trustworthy.

Not a good experience! They assured us that they knew what they were doing, BUT 5 weeks later, and after charges totaling just under $2,000, our service truck was still not fixed. A part was on our bill that they told us they would not charge us for because they would restock it. Then, when we disputed the bill, THEY took me to court under criminal charges for theft of services! VERY bad experience, be VERY careful before hiring this shop.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Great people and great service! They are very knowledgeable about everything transmissions. We were visiting from out of state and our van started to have gear slipping issues. They were able to 90% diagnose the issue over the phone. Then they made some room for us in their busy day to change our transmission fluid. Problem solved!
