i didn't realize how long it's been since we were here last. we tried a few weeks before, but the place was crazy busy. not a seat in the house, standing room only. they were having 2 or 3 different fundraisers going on. we left. we're not standing room only folk! & there were quite a few kids there too.back we went. there was a band playing from 2-5 so we figured, sure, why not. entertainment. when we walked in, the music was in full swing. people on the dance floor. i read that it was a husband & wife team that sang 50's to the 80's, night star. ok, i'm 65 now, technicallly over the hill. as we got our seat & drinks, we listened & looked around. i'm truly sorry, don't take this the wrong way when i say most of the people were 70-80, & the songs were mostly 50's & 60's, & "wedding songs"(think the alley cat). it was quite entertaining for us. the dancers were mostly the ladies, like in high school, guys only for slow songs. we love people watching, & this was a great! they were definitely busier than our 1st visit! we found a seat at the bar, ordered 2 glasses of wine. i tried the 2017 reserve zinfandel, tom tried the cab & the petite verdot. lou didn't have the time for us like he did on our 1st trip, but i think it was his sister-in-law, kept checking on us.we ordered a small charcuterie board. it came laden with meat, cheese, fruit, chocolate. it was a wonderful start. we sat & sipped our wine, listened & watched. eventually, we ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas. santoro's makes some awesome pizza! they were delish as they always are. 3 glasses each, a charcuterie board, 2 pizzas, & 2 bottles of wine to go, & we were on our way home. looking forward to our next visit!

First time at Giant Oaks Winery, owner and waitress explained everything to us. Owner gave us some samples before we ordered. The wine and moon shine was excellent, also had spinach artichoke dip and cheese and crackers which was delicious. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful venue and the wine slushies are good, however, I highly recommend that you do not host any events here, they ONLY provide you with tables and chairs, and not even the agreed upon amount of tables and chairs, luckily we had some no shows or this would have been a bigger issue, bring your own trash bags and garbage truck, because you are responsible for that also, not an exaggeration at all, we had to bring our own garbage bags and take our garbage with us, $300 to rent the venue and I was the most underpaid employee on staff that day, if you want aesthetics this is the place, just understand you volunteer for them for the day!

We had a wonderful experience at Giant Oaks, and it exceeded our expectations!Lou, the owner and winemaker, came over to our table to acquaint us with his wines, moonshine, and slushies. I didn't plan to buy a bottle of wine or to try a slushy, but I did both. We had a Groupon for the no food drink tasting that included five one-ounce tastings from their extensive list of wine and a three-ounce wine slushy (I had the white lightning, which tasted like a yummy pear refresher.) The tasting also came with a glass of wine of our choice from our tasting. We tried 10 different wines between the two of us, and we preferred the reds. Lou uses grapes from places like California, Chile, and Washington, among others, and the wines capture the taste of the terroir of those regions. I did not expect to find in Pennsylvania! Wow! We enjoyed our tasting with the white and dark chocolate covered popcorn. It was such a nice match with the wines. Seating is available inside and outside. Lots of seating! Artwork decorates the walls, and musicians are often performing inside, with music piped outside too so everyone can enjoy! It looks like they have party rooms too. Something to consider for a shower, anniversary, or birthday party!

I do not recommend this place for holding any event..We booked a room here in January for yesterday (march 25th) for my baby shower. We met with the owner (the wife) back in January and secured our date with a deposit. The owner told us originally we could come in the night before to set up and the morning of. Six days before the event (the weekend before it) we met with the owner to pay the final balance and the extra security deposit. We were told six days before that we could not come in the night before anymore to set up and that they don’t open till 12, so we could not have our party at the time we were originally told we could. Therefore, also not allowing us time to set up prior. Invites had already been sent out with with an 11am start time. They told us they would reach out to their insurance on Monday to verify if we could come at 11 to set up and start the party for 1230p instead. The owner was screaming at us in the venue infront of the entire dining room area. It was extremely unprofessional.Monday came and the insurance approved the change so the wife reached out to us at 11am to let us know on Monday that it was approved and we reached out to all of our guests to make the time change. At 4pm that day, the other owner (husband) called and left a voicemail telling us that he had been on the phone with insurance all day trying to make to accommodation and just finally got it approved… when we know that isn’t the truth because the wife had contacted us at 11am to confirm already.Five days before the party, they notified us that if we were bringing our own champagne still that it needed to be PA produced. But we had of course already bought our own champagne and was never told that when we first inquired about bringing it.For the security deposit, they tried to tell us that it would be 5 business days before we get it back after the party even though we paid cash and the contract signed states nothing about 5 business days. We discussed this with them and ended up getting our deposit back immediately after the party. The day of the party, the wife was nice but the husband was very short with us and rude the entire time anytime we had a question or interacted with him. After the party, we asked where we should take the trash and the husband told us we had to take it all with us when this was never discussed with us prior. We have rented many venues and never had to take our trash bags with us after.Overall, I don’t think this establishment should be used for parties. They seem very unprofessional and I knowledgeable about how to operate when hosting an event.
