John does the most high quality work that is also very affordable. There is no other place around that does such a great job. I got a specially made coffee and dining room table and he was able to complete them both well before the deadline. I would absolutely recommend Stable Tables to anyone!

John made two tables for our home recently and we are thrilled with both. He designed a kitchen table with a whitewashed ash round top with a steel base for our breakfast nook and a larger walnut rectangle table for our dining room. The base of the dining room table is iron with a curved flair and we love it both.John was easy to work with, patiently guiding us through the process of choosing our wood tops and making suggestions about each base. After looking at tables online we decided that we wanted something more original that we could have for many years. John came to our house to measure, look at our wood floors and get a general feel for each space. He made confident suggestions and didn't hesitate to steer us away from what he felt would not be appropriate. I can't say enough about Stable Tables and John Duffy. He is a hidden gem in the Philly area with a solid following. His work is recognizable, well crafted, and singular. Any piece John creates is an excellent investment.

My third table from Stable Tables and I couldn’t be happier with it! It gorgeous. I needed a new, larger desk for my office but I didn’t want a traditional desk because they are not versatile. And I don’t really work at my desk all day, I move around so I didn’t want to spend money on a desk that doesn’t see a lot of use so I ordered this.This can also serve as a dining table during the holidays and I figure when my husband and I downsize one day, this will be our dining table then.It’s so beautiful!!!!
