Pharmacist in charge is completely incompetent and rude. Had to transfer my prescription to another pharmacy to get a refill completed. Never again!

I had an issue with my prescription that had been transferred from another Walgreens it wasn’t being accepted by my insurance, and I was getting nowhere. The first tech told me I’d have to call my insurance, and when I did, they said there was nothing they could do either. I was frustrated and ready to just pay out of pocket.
But then I met Katrice, and she completely changed my experience. Not only was she incredibly kind and pleasant, but she also went above and beyond to help resolve the issue for me right then and there. She took the time to figure it out and made sure I got what I needed without the stress.
If more people in the world had Katrice’s heart and work ethic, the world would be a much better place. Thank you so much, Katrice you truly made my day!

This is a review for the pharmacy mainly. Went there today to pick up an Rx and Andy, the pharmacy tech, helped me. He was very friendly, professional, and went out of his way to find a digital coupon that significantly helped reduce the cost of my prescription. Many thanks, Andy!
The store itself is very clean, well laid out, organized and always inviting.

Every single time I have been here it has been an extremely poor experience - staff is slow- rarely have medication in stock - my fault for not switching pharmacies - won’t make the same mistake again

The pharmacy staff at this store is completely incompetent. They have messed up prescriptions I desperately needed, and even when I stressed the urgency, and confirmed details with them three times! They made unacceptable mistakes compromising my quality of life.
The Pharmacist herself looked up the wrong medication when I spelled it out for her and it was on file on my account. Then told me my medication was in stock (the wrong one she typed in) and the script should be filled by the next day. So when I call back the next day to ask why a hold has been placed on my urgent medication the first person doesn’t know and puts me on hold, then they keep passing me up the customer service chain eventually to the pharmacy manager.
Who is completely unhelpful and unsympathetic considering the errors of her staff have directly impacted my quality of life, ability to work, and ability to function. Not to mention was unhelpful in my wish to lodge a complaint. Even after I pointed out this was not the first time I had seriously compromised quality of care because her staff did not double check when I asked to see if they were looking up the right medication? In the correct quality? And that it would be available when I need it? No, they would ignore me, and make promises they had no intention of keeping to help me, only to leave me for some unsuspecting coworker to find and try to figure out whatever they messed up this time.
I was a loyal pharmacy customer for at least 2 years up until this last incident, not anymore.

I am an enormous fan of this store for its many services. But on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, I found a new reason to like and respect the Chestnut Hill Walgreens store. At roughly 3:30 PM, I made a purchase at the register, and brilliantly left my wallet on the counter. At 5 PM, I came back, extremely worried, and was very happy to see that the man at the register was the same guy who had waited on me 90 minutes ago. Did you happen to find a wallet? He smiled, and said, Yes. Let me call the manager. The manager brought the wallet forward, checked my name and address, and there I was 100% whole. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

The hours are incorrectly listed for the pharmacy. And the employees say they can do nothing about it when I asked them to contact corporate. Not good customer service. Actually, it looks like they were just late and the employees of the retail store. Don’t know what they’re talking about. They told me it wasn’t open until 10.
