Went to a few mechanics for an estimate because my steering box was leaking (also heard a noise when I turned) and I wanted to replace and fix the problems so they didn’t create more problems, it wasn’t a mandatory fix. I checked out reviews on a few places and came across B Automotive. It was 5 mins from my house and he had great reviews about how “honest” he was. He quoted me $460 and said that it wouldn’t leak or make the noise when I turn, and I made an appointment for Thursday (BIG mistake). Drop it off Thursday morning and then at 330 Thursday afternoon I get a call from Len, he tells me while trying to get to the gearbox he couldn’t get the pitman arm off so he broke it, ordered the part but it wouldn’t come til Friday morning (now I have to go another day without my car) he tells me he will be in touch when it’s done. Len calls me on Friday again around 330 tells me my car is finished and I can come pick it up. I do, I paid him with a card and start to drive home. Turn for the first time and I hear that noise still. Not to mention how my bill came out to be $588.30!!! I was in shock!! He charged me for not only the pitman arm HE BROKE ($95) he charged me 10 bucks for “fluid”. And the “labor to fix what he broke”. On the call when he mentions HE broke the pitman arm he never mentioned or even hinted to me it was going to be my responsibility to pay for something he broke on my car. I will never go to him again and be careful when he gives you an estimate that it may not be what it seems.

Ben and the other staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. As a woman who knows nothing about cars, I feel that they are honest with their assessments and don't try to take advantage. This is the only place I'll take my car:)
