First let me say, Nutrisystem food is not terrible, but it is diet food, super processed, and extremely small portions; just ok. My complaint is their shady business practices. When I first signed up, I set up auto-delivery for a discount. They auto delivered my first order on a date I chose. I was sent a “Time is Running Out to Make Changes to Your Order” email about 1 day prior to the order being shipped. I did make changes but still did not get the food I ordered. I called and they did send me the food I wanted but warned me that I must make the changes in a timely manner because I did receive the “Time is Running Out to Make Changes to Your Order” email. They further warned I would not be privy to getting what I ordered again if this happened in future deliveries. I told them I did make changes when I got the email, and I could not understand why the items I ordered online were different from what was shipped. They ignored that part and attributed it to me not ordering properly (I know what I ordered and ordered correctly). Anyhow, for the second order delivery I was able to go in and put a date of when I wanted the order. I got the “Time is Running Out to Make Changes to Your Order” email about 1 day prior and checked to make sure everything I ordered was correct, then I took screenshots so I could match and verify when order was received. This time the order was correct, both frozen and non-perishable items. At this time, I wanted to take a break from Nutrisystem, so I called on 5/31/23 to cancel auto deliveries until I was ready to resume. I told the rep I wanted to cancel and did not want to receive another order. She told me my third order t was already on the way, even though I hadn’t specified a date as I did the previous two orders and I had not received the “Time is Running Out to Make Changes to Your Order” email. She told me I had to wait to receive this shipment and that I needed to call back once I got the shipment to get an RMA number. She told me I would be refunded then and only then. So, once I received the order, I called back to get the RMA number. I was told by this rep that I would only be reimbursed $77, and I had to pay for the shipping to boot. This is where they are running the scam. They protected themselves by sending the “Time is Running Out to Make Changes to Your Order” email to make sure they don’t have to send you the correct items. However, when an individual wants to cancel, they rush the order out the door without giving you the benefit of choosing a date or a “Time is Running Out to Make Changes to Your Order” email. And further, they will refund you far less than half the cost of the items, even though you must pay for shipping. So, the package total was $324.46, they were only refunding me $77 and charging some $250 restocking fee. After that I just decided I’d keep the food at least I wouldn’t be totally ripped off. As a result, I will not patronize Nutrisystem again. Several people have asked me how it was, I advised them against it and will continue to do so via posting my true story to my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts and hope it reaches many people so they don’t fall victim to this scam. NUTRISYSTEM YOU LOSE.

Sadly, in my opinion this has become a $hit show. I've used N/S for years and I did lose weight. In the beginning I enjoyed the meals and was able to reach real live people on the phone. However, N/S has changed a LOT by way of their personnel structure which seems that only 2 persons work at N/S. Meals and the quality and taste also severely lack in the changes. Without notice the recipe or how we the consumers prep the meals change and the meals are not the same in the worst way. A refund takes forever and you will only receive 50%. In my opinion this is bad business practice. I've opted out.

Please stay away from Nutrisystem! The food is bio-engineered, has poor safety ratings, includes nasty preservatives and then they charge you $175 to cancel your order because you dont want to be subjected to that type of food! You lose weight due to portion control, not the quality of the food. The food is very unhealthy and their customer service is even worse!

I joined the Nutrisystem program for home delivery of meals on a monthly basis. The first delivery came and I called them up to cancel out of the program because I had a situation where I would have to do traveling for the immediate future and could not follow the program. They informed me that I would be penalized some outlandish amount for droping out. I asked them why was I not told of this right from the beginning and the rep had no answer to give me. Let the buyer beware Nutrisystem! I found out today there was no where in the contract to charge me $125 for dropping out of what I read. I will admit that I didn't read the entire 15 pages of detail they sent me but that $125 was not predominately noted in the contract.

Absolute worst customer service. Canceled their program and they still charged and sent anyways and then wouldn't refund. Had to go to my bank and actually put a stop payment and make a fraud case against them. They will do nothing but take your money and give you the run around after the fact.

I was on the $329 a month deal and saw a cheaper deal of $599 every 2 months. I called and the associate said she would cancel the $329 but the funds came out of my bank acct causing 3 charges on my acct for not having the necessary funds. I called after I received the first part of the $599 deal and I was told, I didn't hit the necessary button for auto delivery. I paid the $599 and all I wanted was to change to auto delivery so I would get the 2nd shipment. Instead I have to return the dry food and was charged another $125. I don't understand why you can't just change the info. I am being credited $400 but will then have to pay the difference between the 400 and the 599. I made a little mistake and it is costing me 324 plus $30 in overdraft fees just because your IT dept can't change my order to auto delivery. I want to stay on the program but you are not very good at assisting your customers. Just to let you know I live paycheck to paycheck and just doing the program is a little financially hard as it is. I really don't see why you can't change this. I find it ridiculous that in this day and age it can't be corrected and customer service is not a priority for your company.

Do NOT get on these plans...any of them. My cholesterol and blood pressure have gone into dangerous territory, and I just started this in March of 2022. Went to the DR yesterday and got very concerning news, and now I must go on medication to get it back down.To cancel, I was given the option to chat, and when I told them I wanted to cancel, they said because it is health-related, I must call, and now I have been sitting on hold for over 30 minutes.PLEASE do not get on any of these plans, it is dangerous and can cause VERY serious health issues.

Save yourself hundreds of dollars by just buying microwaveable portions of beef stew and chili, preschool-sized breakfast cereal, and too-sweet protein bars from your local grocery store. That’s all this company provides: highly processed, portion-controlled food. I mistakenly signed up for this, thinking it would be like blue apron! There is no fresh food here. Total and complete scam. False advertising. Hard to cancel account.

I'm only on my second day and have a big question, does any of the food taste good. I know I just started but does any of the food taste good? I've eaten 10 different things and only 2 of them were ok, just ok. I threw 1/2 of the pizza in the trash, it smelled and tasted horrible. The Zesty Herb Snack Mix had no flavor, but forced myself to eat it. The Turkey Sausage and Egg Muffin was flavorless until I poured salt onto it. I know, salt is bad. I could eat the Nutrichocolates, just bland.I was on Nutra System back in the 90's and do not remember the food to be this bad, so it must have been pretty good.I had the White Bean Chili Chicken which was ok, edible, as was the Creamy Cauliflower and Chicken. When I ordered my food, I selected very carefully, making sure all the ingredients of each meal were ok for me to eat.So, I need some help trying to find items that are good, not just ok or acceptable. Are there any suggestions, or, how do I get out of this?

My first shipment took forever, and when I emailed them I got a tone deaf response that didn't address anything about what I'd written. Worse yet, my second shipment came without dry ice so the entire thing was melted, slimy and spoiled. When I called, they said they'd send a new shipment and it would get here in oh, ten days or so (bear in mind that I really don't have much other food in the house other than salad stuff and vegetables -- because you still have to grocery shop on this plan, by the way). No offer to rush the shipment, no offer to include any kind of compensation. She just asked if I wanted to order more stuff! What? I'd already canceled the service so I guess they didn't care about the hundreds I'd already spent. But then again, why rush the shipment when leaving someone to their own devices in the meantime means they might have to stay on the program longer? Right? They also don't tell you that you don't really get a month's worth of food the first month, and even less the second month. There's a lot they don't advertise. I regret joining. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

Their Customer Dis-Service is the worst, they lost my second order of Frozen Food, I couldn't find a real person and had to chat, which I hate because I type so slowly. They are shipping my order and won't over night it. So I'm out of food and they could care less, but the weight-loss program is great, you to can drop a whopping 5 lbs in a month, buyer beware and then watch the response to this rating, just a canned response without addressing the problems. They don't even care to listen. They do not value customers. Also, look at how few Customers lost weight and they probably wrote the reviews themselves. A bunch of crooks.

I received my order of food and found a worm (or insect) in the container of macaroni and cheese. I took photos of the food as well as the label on the bottom. I called Nutrisystem and told them I wanted them to take back all of the food as I could not trust that there weren't more worms inside the rest of the food. I want a refund for the food. There is obviously no quality control within their organization and I terrified that I might have already ingested other insects. They refused to refund me or take the food back. They offered to credit me for $3.00This is without a doubt the worst kind of company that truly has no concern for safety, cleanliness or making their customers sick.

If there were Negative 10 Stars score, I'd give that. Nutri System takes advantage of the elderly. They will not accept cancellation even if they agree to pay the $125 fee for canceling auto pay before the 2nd shipment. A terrible customer service experience and surprised such a large company works this way and takes advantage of people who don't want the food because it takes horrible and it poor quality. Marie Osmond, do you approve of this conduct of business? These are innocent elderly people Nutrisystem is disrespecting and taking advantage of. DON'T DO AUTO PAY PROGRAM, OR YOU WILL HAVE A TOUGH TIME CANCELLING (ONLY BY PHONE, NO EMAIL) AND YOU WILL GET SURCHARGED A $125 FEE ON TOP OF THE $400 something FOR THE 4 WEEKS OF TERRIBLE TASTING FOOD THEY SEND YOU.

I have been on NS several times over the years. The good side is I lose weight. But on the down side I've noticed something. My first time with NS in 2007 I got 28 days worth of meals. A bit short of a month but close. The next time or may be the one after that (2011 or 2015) I got 24 days worth of meals instead of 28. Same price but instead of those 4 days I got Flex Days. A lot of hype on why it's a good thing but the bottom line is 15% less product for the same money. Now I'm on it again for the last time (I'm really annoyed at their marketing) and I got 20 meals for the same money. And I suspect the portions are smaller and there are more bars instead of real meals. So now you get just less than 3 weeks of meals for your month. But you do get 8 Flex Days. When my obligation is over next month, I'll go with 30 Flex Days instead. Maybe the new owner is trying to recover financially.

I tried this plan b/c I thought it would be a simple way to make meals and lose a few pounds. Wrong! The meals still require you to provide the side (veggies), which they say you can eat all you want ?. I did double up on the raw vegetables, otherwise I would feel like I was starving. Results after 28 days no wait loss. Followed the plan to the letter. Called to cancel and yes another victim of the fine print. Even after explaining their system wasn't for me didn't lose wait. They responded oh well. There are better and cheaper ways to lose weight where you aren't lining the pockets of individuals who use such tactics as a 2 month commitment in fine print or pay a penalty. Bad business Nutrisystem!
