HORRIBLE experience. Recently adopted a dog who was heartworm positive but was treated before I got him. Was told to bring him back for a retest at the year mark since if he tested positive again, it would be covered by them. Made an appointment a few days before the year, drive over an hour to the clinic as this was the closest location, only to find out it's best to wait a few weeks after the year to avoid a false positive. Ended up trying to get bloodwork anyway as I was already there and hoped it would be negative and work out. He was negative right at the appt and they said they would email the results to me for my records. Called twice the same day after not getting anything and was told to give the shelter to the end of the day. Still nothing the next day, so spent the entire next afternoon continually calling to get results. There is also no direct numbers to the individual shelters so you are always routed through a call center to be the middle man. After calling a total of 8 times over 2 days and leaving a voicemail and email, I finally got an email simply saying his heartworm was negative with no official SPCA letterhead or anything. Absolute waste of time considering they knew the results while I was still there.

Insulted by counter person Please let me just say that I have a ton of respect for the people that give their time to take care of these animals, and I don't believe this experience is a reflection of the entire staff, just maybe some of the staff need some human interaction training. Recently brought my new puppy back for a visit with the vet. While in the waiting room I was listening to the staff discuss with someone how the price of a puppy is more because "no one wants an older dog, they only want a shiny new puppy so they can make it whatever however they want" and so on. The tone was very judgmental being that I was sitting there with a "shiny new puppy" Let's be clear, if my family and I could take all of the dog's home and care for them we would, but for our family of young children and another dog that's getting older (who we also rescued) an older dog wasn't the right fit. Furthermore, my wife was considering taking an older dog while we were there but we as a family decided the puppy was the right decision for us at this time. It's as if I was being shamed for rescuing a puppy and not an older dog. I totally get that it is harder for older dogs to get adopted, its heartbreaking, but it shouldn't be frowned on by staff when a puppy is adopted especially when they are going to a loving home like ours.

Low prices for basic, run of the mill needs if that's all you need. Don't expect emergency services or gold standard, but rather just your straight forward vaccinations and their biggest seller: low cost spay and neuter. Dr Nau, VMD, is the cornerstone of this location. She is both a great doctor and surgeon who is both empathetic and realistic, and also has a way with animals that is unparalleled to any other doctor you'll find. Although, the hours listed on Google and Yelp are incorrect and have been so for a long time.

Easily 5/5 stars. Everyone at the clinic was incredibly patient and compassionate with my dog. For folks looking to find a clinic where your pet is actively invited to see the vet as a positive part of their health routine, this is the perfect place to be. After struggling to find a vet who goes at my dog's pace, finding BVSPCA is a relief. The vet & techs each took their time making my dog comfortable with the clinic, getting down to her level and modeling cooperative care throughout the visit, and the front desk was welcoming and well-organized. By the end of our visit, my dog was fully relaxed (the treats our vet brought out didn't hurt!), and excited to continue her day. We're happy to find this clinic and will be recommending!

The vet and vet tech were fantastic with my nervous kitty. I'm also very thankful for their TNR program.

We had our new puppies first vet appt 2/28 and they were so nice to our puppies. Handled them gently and made them comfortable and got a shot schedule together that we were good with since they were very small and we didn't want to overload them in one visit. Talked to us about when to spay and neuter and covered everything we needed. Knowledgeable and thorough. I have rescheduled the next appointment with them.

Great place that works hard to place animals in forever homes. The staff there work hard to train and socialize their pets to help insure rapid placement

To start with, the lady we met with at the clinic was extremely rude. there was no hello or greeting when i walked in, and the minimal details given about my pets SURGERY was unprofessional. She was very short with her answers, even though i had told her this was my first time having a pet surgery. She told me that they do not let me know updates / when my pet is done, and that i just "need to pay attention and show up". When I went to go pickup my pet, it was the same girl. Still no greeting, and gave me the dirtiest look when I asked if i could split my pay between cash and card. When I got home, i looked at the receipt and she had charged me $50 for something that I said I did NOT need. Overall, will not be returning to this clinic...at least until she's gone .

They care about the health of your pet. Our pups spay surgery was great! No issues! And the incision was so small!! Thank you for taking such great care of our little girl!

Thie vet who saw us couldn't get us away fast enough. We had just a few questions about the health of our dog. Each answer was curt and vague. It felt unprofessional. I will not be returning.

Bring my standard poodle for annual check up and update vaccines and I use BVSPCA for few years already, they really mess up today, my dog has 3 years rabies vaccine in May 2022 and still good for 2 years, they gave him another 3 years vaccine again today for no reason. And who knows what else they gave and did not give. Plus front desk associate cannot get pet vaccinations and weight records straight. Weight 42 lbs on check in and only 22 lbs in the computer. And it mess up the medication. Cannot trust them anymore. Very disappointed.

Do not use this facility for surgical purposes. Well visits fine. Staff has poor communication skills amongst themselves and with you as client that jeopardizes pets well being and concerns of proper care. Totally unacceptable and no responsibility.

I feel like they could do a better job. The service was not good last time I went. It made me want to change vets.

I had a absolutely awful experience with this place. I adopted a kitten from the spca and had no problems until about a week or two after adoption I noticed something odd on her paw. I took her to this bet waited 3 hours, to Come to find out they forgot about me and my kitten outside. Once I was finally seen they basically told me to keep a eye on in and they would take a closer look once she was neutered a week later. When I took her to Get neutered I reminded them to look at her paw. Once they did I was told that it was a extra toe, however after doing some of my own research I have come to believe that it was ringworm. I said are you sure, and asked them to take another look. They said that it might be ringworm but that was unlikely and to just keep a eye on it. Well about a week later my kid got ringworm and my kittens extra toe just magically disappeared. It was awful and upsetting knowing that this all could have been prevented. Not including the fact that both times at this get they have been rude and unprofessional I would not recommend .
