About The Gleaning Project of South Central PA
The Gleaning Project is South Central Pennsylvania's collaborative, nonprofit effort to reduce food loss on local farms, and increase food security in our communities. The Gleaning Project strives for a more equitable and sustainable food system. We envision a South Central Pennsylvania where farmers are supported, the local food economy is thriving, and everyone can access enough food to lead a healthy, active lifestyle. Provides fresh produce to folks who are in need throughout Adams and Franklin counties. A model for gleaning projects nationwide. Huge volunteer involvement and community buy-in.
