Not much to see here - the house Lee used as his HQ. But the thing to look at IMHO is this place as a last stand on day 1 of Gettysburg by the union. The views to the North and West give a great picture of the battle.

An obvious must see site on your Gettysburg visit. The house is beautiful and when you step inside, you can just feel the history. Very cool to think about Robert E Lee planning his war strategy here. And how he must’ve spent his time during this extremely stressful time. I am not a huge war buff, but listening to Gettysburg podcasts on our long trip here helped understand where everything happened and how it went down. I was very excited to be in a place where Rob E Lee walked.

In Gettysburg for the 160th Anniversary at Daniel Lady Farms as a reenactor and opted to see the national park soon after. Exceptional restoration of what was truly had become a commercial enterprise. It's growing slowly, and looking forward to seeing furniture added to this historic landmark. Also hopeful that they plan some events where reenactment encampments are stood up to bring up the living history experience for the visiting public!

The American battlefield trust has done a great job with this site we attended their generations event on the eve of the 160th. It was informative and fun for both kids and adults.

I felt great(?) on this beautiful morning oround that site, surrounded by mass graves "from both sides" as we hear too often again these days. I heard, Lee didn't feel so good when he was here... Oh well, get em next tim... no, wait...

Such a wonderful place to visit. The history is breathtaking. Sitting and thinking about what happened here and the lives that were taken is overwhelming. Picturing the battle along the fences, it's truly an amazing experience.

Would have loved to go into the headquarters but was really amazing to see the building. Lots of plaques to tell the history of the home.

Love Gettysburg been there a few times, love the history, town and just revisiting and learning that much more each time. Sad to hear of a couple closings of museums but still plenty to see. Be back as soon as I can.

Lee's headquarters is unique however it needs so much to make it worth the extra stop. The signs around the property tell more about what was there like the Restaurant and Motel and little bits of the house, owners of the land and qhat had to be done during the battle. Qould live to see th rooms set up as they may have been during the battle and possible artifacts which at one time it did have inside.
