Highly recommend this historic inn. Location is unique as you approach the Battlefield on Route 30, lined with stunning monuments. The old inn is an historic building and shows its age - creaky floors, limited closets, not the strongest WiFi. Also ghosts of the Confederate dead roaming around. But Steve the owner will do anything to improve your stay. We loved the historic atmosphere and the spacious Room 2. We felt like we were living with the history of Gettysburg. The delicious breakfast was managed promptly and cheerfully by the indefatigable Stacey. She was even there early with coffee, warm bread and cereal to accommodate our early tour. The Livery next door has good bar food and a selection of local beers. Very convenient after a full day of touring. Thank you, Steve and staff, for a great stay. You offer a high level of hospitality combined with history. We loved the Inn at Herr’s Ridge.

Steve the owner is such a hoot and a chatty Kathy!! So friendly and personable. The rooms felt like I was walking into another century! So antique looking and quaint. Such a cute place to come here!! Would definitely highly recommend staying here!!

I was here with my family for dinner on 10/18/23. To start off with the waitress was heard arguing with some obstinate person ( maybe the owner) about our request to split our check. We were the only party in the restaurant besides a larger group in the banquet section so not sure what the issue was with splitting the check. Then we had one server delivering food to us hobbling along on crutches which I would assume would be some type of safety/ environmental hazard. To end our horrible experience was the atrocious food. Fries were as stale and tasteless as anything I have ever had. I got the impression they are struggling to stay afloat and just throw any type of food/service together. Disappointing to say the least.

Ate catered dinner here. Food excellent but rushed us out and limited portions. I'd make sure that doesn't happen if came again.

My wife and I stayed at The Inn At Herr Ridge as a last minute getaway. We initially stayed in Room 9 however there was apparently a hornet’s nest somewhere and hornets were getting inside the room. We called the staff and they immediately accommodated us by moving us to a different room.We ended up staying in Room 6 which we actually liked better, although the little bit of time we did stay in Room 9 and the accommodations of that room seemed very nice also. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. We later went to The Livery which is right next to the main Inn. We had drinks and split a sandwich. The Gettysburg Pulled Pork Sandwich was absolutely amazing (kudos to Chef Willie). The staff was extremely friendly and we had a great experience. We will definitely return to stay at The Inn and eat more of Chef Willie’s awesome cooking at The Livery. We highly recommend both locations.Rooms: Very bright and clean. King Size Bed. Loved the digitally controlled shower and jacuzzi tub.Nearby activities: Gettysburg Battlefield and Downtown Gettysburg.Food & drinks: The Livery was on the same grounds as the Inn. The food at The Livery was amazing. The staff was extremely friendly.

We had our daughter's wedding at the Barn and had rooms at the Inn for the wedding party. The inn was so nicely decorated and it really was comfortable and accommodating. The beds were great and it was a great environment. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful . Truely a wonderful experience.

We attended a wedding here, the venue looked like it was thrown together quickly. The men's bathroom door looked like a piece of plywood with some paint slapped on. There was a guy during the ceremony, in the grand room with us drilling a curtain into a door. There were table cloths cut to the size of windows and stapled to the window sills. They were all stained brown. Our table cloth was stained brown as well. The man with the drill was very rude to people and was furious when someone told him to stop drilling during the ceremony.

I actually haven't had a chance to stay here but got stuck with a rental Tesla on a trip to the area, and was on 0% when I found this place with a charging station. The owner was INCREDIBLY kind, and allowed me to use the charger meant only for guests for next to nothing, and welcomed me inside out of the cold to wait for my ride while the car charged. The inside is a quaint little B&B with a really cool bar and a menu that looks fantastic. Definitely a place I will come back to stay at

We attended a wedding reception here and it was perfect. The staff was fun and friendly, chatting with my 10 year old and bringing him a special box for extra cupcakes. The room was comfortable despite a chilly evening. I’m thrilled my friend’s reception was full of great memories, laughter, and no stress because of the exceptional services this venue provided.

Thought we were getting a ghostly experience, but turned out to be ghastly. The pics online are beautiful but when we got to the room I was very disappointed. The throw rugs looked so dirty I was glad I brought slippers. We're "older" folks so the bed didn't do us any favors, it sagged in the middle and you had to literally roll to get out of bed. The chairs were just as bad with a hole you sank into. The place definitely smelled its age. The location was great being in the midst of Gettysburg battlefield and close to the outlets.

My wife and I have stayed here before. It was excellent then and is still excellent. The room was comfy/cozy with beautiful antique décor. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming. The breakfast (not The Livery) was delicious. We will most definitely return many more times.

I love staying here! Always friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast is good! The food at the Livery is excellent! The rooms are very cozy and nice and always clean! If you are looking for a nice cozy place to spend with your significant other this is it! Building has a lot of history as well if you are into that!
