We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning in the future. We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was so nice! The home is cozy, clean, and had a delicious breakfast each morning. The hosts are wonderful as well; very knowledgeable about the history of the home, the town, and had great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We will definitely be back for an anniversary!

Steve and Teresa are phenomenal hosts! As my first time staying at a B&B, they really set the bar high for all future B&B stays for me. Teresa is a fantastic cook and her breakfasts are beyond delicious (especially the French toast casserole), and Steve is a fountain of information on the area and local sights to see. They helped us set up a fantastic battlefield tour as well as a Ghost Tour! They even gave me the recipe for that marvelous French Toast Casserole. They are such gracious and welcoming hosts that I actually felt like I was staying with favorite relatives! They really go above and beyond for every single guest and they add the personal touch to make your stay very memorable. Having the breakfast meal plated and brought to you is a welcome treat and I loved my interactions with both Steve and Teresa. I will definitely stay here again when we come back to Gettysburg for another history trip vacation. I cannot say enough good things about the Lightner Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast. I highly recommend staying here and experience the top notch service!

An absolute gem. Beautiful place with gracious hosts . We were lucky they had a guest speaker / author who gave a breakfast chat about the battlefield monuments. The breakfast was delicious. Strongly recommend - great location.

Fantastic cozy B&B that's a very close drive to museums, sightseeing, and the downtown area. We had a wonderful experience and a great time at both this B&B and Gettysburg. The host gave us a detailed history of the property upon arrival. The rooms are small, but comfortable and perfect for a short stay. The breakfast is great -- especially the peaches & cream! It has an easygoing atmosphere and I felt quite at home there.

My wife and I thoroughly loved our stay at the Lightner Farmhouse B&B. This Gettysburg B&B is located just outside the hustle and bustle of the town so noise was greatly reduced, making our stay way more private, yet close enough to visit all we wanted to visit in the historic town. With six bedrooms, this would be an ideal B&B to rent for a family get together or reuniting with close friends. The cellar would be perfect for socializing inside or around the firepit. Our personal chef was Jason. He was spot on with a wonderful breakfast. Thank you Jason for the historical conversations. You clearly are very knowledgeable. Waking to bacon cooking brought me back to my grandmother's farmhouse. Loved it. I want to personally thank Mr. Bailey for making our arrangements on such short notice. We really appreciated it. You and your wife have a beautiful B&B. Loved the furnishings. Brought us back in time, which we were looking for. We will be back. All our best JD & Rose

This is our 3rd stay in the last 9 years and it was such a disappointment. New owners took over this time and the house was completely dust covered. I have never seen so much heavy dust in a house before. The floors, trim baseboard and floors were filthy. The one bathroom had large black mold all over the walls. When we told the housekeeper, he did nothing. We also ordered chocolate covered strawberries and we got a cheap box of chocolates instead. We raved about this place to the 3 other couples that we asked to come with us this time and we were completely embarrassed. We will never be back.

Incredible place to stay if you're in the area visiting Gettysburg. The hosts, Teresa and Steve, are incredibly friendly and provide an excellent breakfast! There are a lot of very nice common spaces, a beautiful outside fire pit, and acres of walkable fields. As a historic site that served as a Civil War hospital, the paintings and artwork reflect the time period, among many other fun pieces of art.The rooms are quite spacious with a single queen bed, lots of sockets, clean bathrooms, and AC units. It is a quiet area close to Gettysburg that I would highly recommend!
