First time at Ocean nails and the pedicure they did was horrible no hot towels no scrub the bottom of my feet looked the same as when I went in ...Didn't ask what length I wanted my toenails for 60 dollars you would think I would of gotten what I paid for..

I've gone here several times with no real issues other than them badgering me to pay for gel polish over regular until I give in. Today I asked for a simple star design in regular polish on my ring fingers to accompany my red, white and blue nails.They refused to do it with regular polish so I said if they can't, I'll have to go somewhere else so they told me "okay go somewhere else". So I did and got exactly what I wanted at another salon. Their customer service skills (or lack thereof) are the reason they get bad reviews and lose repeat customers.

I went here due to its good reviews. I have gotten dip powder manicures for a couple years now. When my technician was doing my nails, there was a weird bump in all the nails and so I told my technician about it. Both the technician and who I presume is the owner both were very short and gave me attitude that that is how they always look and it’ll get fixed. Fast forward, the nails still had the bumps and within days the paint started chipping and dip separated from my nail. The nails felt super thin and flimsy. I will not be returning.

My daughter had gel polish put on her nails for a special occasion. We decided on the gel (even though it costs more) because it is suppose to last longer. The polish didn’t last a week on one of her nails. When I called they said it would cost to get it repaired. I’m disappointed that the polish didn’t last and that they didn’t offer to fix it. I was hoping to return again, but unfortunately we won’t due to their poor customer service.Services: Pedicure

Worst environment and unprofessional way of talking. I wanted to give this place a try as it’s very close to the house that we have recently moved. I took a friend there. There was some construction work video was going on on the tv and it was so loud as if the hammer and all the construction work is going next to youShe kept of saying very rudely that only that length. Longer nails more pay. I was like where you are spending 65 dollars, you would spend 10 more and get what you want. But, when they first cut and showed the length, we said it’s short. They said more money, we said ok that’s fine. And still did very short.When I asked them that you should have said that clearly before cutting too short, they started shouting- don't teach us how to do business etc. such unwelcoming and bad behavior.The guys who did was nail was really nice and finished the work patiently. But, now we are going to go back to redo the thing.

Terrible experience with Lana today. Terrible nasty person. Lana here’s your tip: be kind. Nails are fine but she was awful to me from the moment I walked in the door. Very mean. Actually rolled her eyes when she burned me, causing my hand to j*** back. Nevermind the yelling and accusations. Unbelievable. She is in the wrong business.

Lana is AMAZING! At each appointment I show her a picture of a nail design, and she does a great job of recreating it. I am never blindsided when it is time to pay because she is upfront about the cost before she begins. I really appreciate her concern and thoughtfulness during my appointments. She knows what types of designs and colors I like on my nails. If a design will be very expensive or have an effect on the next fill, she always tells me and walks me through options. Lai. That’s all I have to say. He did GREAT on my nails.I’m from Florida and it’s super easy to get people that can actually add designs to nails, but in PA it’s like pulling teeth. However, he saw the design I wanted and did it PERFECTLY. Nails and toes done by Lai.

My mom has been coming here for 7 years with my grandma. Tin has always been so gracious with them. Leann is helpful and has done my manicure and pedicure as well. She is one of the techs for men. My wife and I have come a few times with mom. My mom battles dementia and Parkinson’s and the staff here have been progressively helpful over the years. There is no describing how wonderful this is for our family. They can make appointments or even get you in last minute. Their color catalogue is huge and they can do custom work. As with any place the experience is degraded when busy and of course there are imperfect days. However, I continue to bring mom here knowing they will help her and she is safe with them. Oh and the work they do is amazing, too!! :-)

I have gone here on and off over the past few years and their services are a hit or miss from my experience. The reason I will not be returning here is the customer service I have received...i get charged for mistakes they make when I feel that they should honor their services. For instance I lost an acrylic nail 4 days after a fill and was charged $10 to have them redo it and was also berated about how I should've gotten a new set last time instead of a fill and that I must not put my nails in water and chemicals. Their employee did my fill and should have informed me of their professional opinion that I needed a new set instead of a fill. I also have been off from work (as a nurse) all week and haven't exposed my nails to water and chemicals they speak of. They were all very rude about a simple situation and I have experienced similar attitudes from them before. Lastly, I do agree with other reviews saying they feel their services are rushed. I have gotten an entire gel pedicure there in 20 mins or less and do feel they get distracted easily. Overall, I am disappointed and will be looking for a new salon.

The negative atmosphere and unprofessional behavior shown by my technician at my appointment today was truly unbearable.I have had 2 lovely and relaxing appointments in the past, and two appointments that seemed odd and not relaxing, but the service was okay.I came in today to have my fingernails trimmed, cleaned up, and polished with my pedicure to include fingernail polish removal, trimming the nails, filing my feet, and no polish.There was 1 person in the salon who was having a pedicure and gel manicure. When I walked into the salon, the lady in charge told me that technician Harry would do my nails. I could tell by the non-English dialogue between them that Harry was not happy. He did not seem chipper or pleasant like he has in the past, but tired, irritable and angry. He pointed for me to go to the pedi soaking tub. He removed the polish and trimmed the nail on my toes. He used a pumice square haphazardly not doing the sides of the both feet or the entire bottom like he did before. When I asked him to do the sides, he said "it is extra to remove calluses." (I do not have calluses!) He placed lotion on both legs and did a very quick massage. When I tried to talk with him, he did not answer. I felt very uncomfortable. He then got up and pointed to the nail polishing station. I tried to get up and out from the pedi chair but had trouble since the little table holding my purse would not go down and the water was not draining making it difficult to swing out my legs and body. There was more discussion about the manicure with the lady in charge. He hit the table 3 times saying to me "need to pay" which he never did before. I gave him my credit card. I pulled out cash for a tip to give him when he was done which I placed on the inside top of my purse. He quickly used the fingernail polish I brought and got up moving to and pointing to the drying station. I got up and followed him, never feeling so rushed. He started again with the lady in charge, and I took the money tip from the top of my opened purse, said "here" and said, "I have had enough!" I walked out the door and sat in my car until the polish dried. 4 of the fingernails did not have the polish on the sides of my fingers. Thank goodness I could use my polish to fix the sides when I got home. I would "beware" of this Nail Salon which is truly a shame since there appears to be personnel issues.Services: Pedicure

I worked at ocean nails for over a year and wanted to quit every other week. Lana the owner constantly complained abt her own regulars, they r not consistent with how they scheduled and blamed me for that, and they treat ppl good based on if they r an “easy costumer” to have. they let me go for a few weeks for travel and let me think for weeks that I still had my job after hiring someone else. I was the receptionist and got the best nails I could ever ask for. Once I became A paying costumer again they started rushing my services and giving me half effort nails. If that wasn’t worse enough they chose to sit my best friend down who is also a paying costumer and talk as low of me as they could. Said I didn’t do my job, don’t have my life together, etc. I went through a very dark time around the time they let me go and they choose to tell my best friend that I brought those issues into work when they are the ones who asked me to be open with them and said I was like a niece to them. I’m extremely upset with the way I was treated by people who felt like family. I won’t be coming back and all I can say is there’s better places out there as I have learned by choosing to stay away from ocean nails.
