Please let me tell you about Motts! I have been going there for over 14 years and I still have the same car! Yes, my car is 15 years old! Even though Skip has left and turned the business over to Jeff, they are still the best, most trustworthy car repair shop in the Poconos! I really don't understand the negative reviews posted here, there has to be something missing! They have never steered me wrong, never tell me I need anything fixed unless it's necessary and always ask me first before they fix anything! Take my advice, go to Motts before you go somewhere else, you won't be disappointed!”

“I had an issue with one of my value stems. I scheduled an appointment online. Larry called me shortly after and asked what the problem was with my tire. I explained the issue and he said to bring it right out and he would take a look at for me. I took my vehicle to Mavis and Larry fixed my valve stem issue. He didn't charge me for the repair. Excellent customer service from Larry. I wouldn't hesitate to use Mavis again in the future.”

“Came for my yearly inspection after the first place I went to quoted me over $700 for control arms (despite replacing those last year). Someone who overheard this conversation pulled me aside and said get a second opinion at Moore Tires and so I did the following week. Not only was I in and out in an hour, they also told me that the car was in great shape and didn’t need any repairs. I definitely recommend Moore Tires and will be coming back for any future maintenance that’s needed!”

“Jose is great mechanic who really knows how to diagnose vehicle.. I took my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee to the stealership for a random for a check engine light and would have no power. They put some parts in it for $1800. After I pick up the car drive down the road light comes back on. So I turned around went back to the dealership. They had my Jeep for almost 2 weeks another $1000. They tell me pick it up all fixed. Next morning lights on. So I said I am done with the dealership since J.R. Garage is right down the road from my house I decided to go there.. He fixed it right the first time. Jose is a great guy shows me the problem.. It only took him a half hour to find the problem a little over an hour to fix and have me on my way. Only charged me $125 he is a great guy to do business with. This was about 4 moths ago I have brought 3 other vehicles there and every time has been great.Service: Auto engine diagnostic”
“In early April I was up from North Carolina visiting family when I had a power steering issue. I was sure the noises it was making and wheel resistance that I'd, at minimum, need a new pump. Instead of taking the easy money and doing just that, Anthony informed me all I'd need was a flush. The job was done in a few hours and for much less than anticipated. It has driven 100% better since.
Flash forward to this past week (beginning of May) when I am up again visiting and bringing the vehicle back to get the back brakes down. Not only was the job done quickly, even after finding numerous other issues. He had all hands on deck working on it to get it road-ready in less than 24 hours. After letting me know an alignment was also in order, we shook hands and I took the keys. On top of that, he asked me to give him a ring when I got back to NC to make sure the van was still on the up and up.
If you are a local, I'm sure I don't have to tell you about Anthony and this shop's good work. If you aren't and need a reliable, honest, fast, and fair mechanic, look no further. Even if it is a bit out of your way, you won't be disappointed.”
