Newlin Grist Mill Park is a 160-acre historic site located in Glen Mills, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The park features a historic complex that includes a water-powered 1704 grist mill, a miller's house, a restored open-hearth kitchen, and various outbuildings. Visitors can explore over 8 miles of walking and hiking trails that meander through beautiful nature, alongside West Branch Chester Creek. The park offers a serene environment, making it ideal for nature walks, birding, and picnics. The Markham Railroad Station serves as the visitor center, providing a museum exhibit area and a gift shop. The trails are well-maintained and suitable for all ages, with options ranging from half to two miles. Many visitors appreciate the dog-friendly atmosphere, with several people walking their dogs along the trails. The park is praised for its clean facilities, friendly staff, and the passion for historic and environmental education. With picnic areas and beautiful open fields, especially vibrant in the fall, Newlin Grist Mill Park is a cherished spot for both relaxation and exploration. The grounds and trails are open daily from dawn to dusk, while the visitor center operates Wednesday to Sunday. Guided tours of the mill are available on the same days.

Great place for a nature walk and go birding. Trails are always very clean and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Best place in Delco for a nature walk, picnics, birding/looking for wildlife(wide variety of birds, squirrels,chipmunks, deer, fox ) taking a dog for a walk and similar activities.
