Wow! Most DEFINITELY was worth the drive from baltimore! From the second I stepped in the door the excellence began. Customer service, atmosphere through the roof. Zero pressure sales, answered all of my questions, even offered advise above and beyond my questions. Wish I had gotten the men's names, will get that info when I go back up with my wife.

Freedom Armory is possibly the biggest firearm rip-off outfit in the Mid-Atlantic area. Simply do your research. Freedom Armory now and has for the past 10 years been charging at minimum 10%—20% over MSRP on new firearms. Crazily enough, they have gotten away with it for all these years. People have actually bought thousands of colossally over priced firearms, holsters, clothing, accessories, etc. while Freedom Armory has laughed their way all the way to the bank. Actually they are not really laughing and I’ll explain why. The margins they were able to capture for all these years is astonishing. In addition, you will notice that the salespeople such as a seemingly nice guy with an accent will aggressively steer you away for example from guns such as Glock, Walther, Ruger, and Smith & Wesson. You will then notice that you have been indoctrinated to the Sig Sauer brand. Why you say? This is because the salespeople such as this individual receive credit from Sig Sauer with each pistol that he sells. After the salespeople reach a certain goal, they are given a FREE Sig Sauer for their efforts. The model depends on how many credits they have accrued. How do I know this? Because an unnamed salesperson at Freedom Armory explained all of this to me. I will of course not mention any names however some very obtuse advice has been given to countless customers throughout the years as well, just to make a buck. You will notice that this manager carries his FREE Sig P226 with him at all times. Someone should ask him about it sometime. He will likely claim that the Sig 226 is the crème de la crème of pistols which I actually somewhat agree with however the means by which it was acquired by this manager should be asked about during your next visit to the “Freedom Money Pit”. Let us just for a minute say that if Walther Firearms or Glock Pistols were to run contests and hand out free pistols for meeting sales quotas, then you would see this same person relentlessly pushing Walther and Glocks to customers all day long. He may evensay that Sig Sauer is junk if this were the case. The Walther PDP Steel Frame as well as the entire line of PDP’s by the way are probably the some of the finest pistols on the market at the moment so do not let anyone at “Freedom Money Pit” tell you any differently. The long and short of all of this is that even with the inflated prices, this embattled outfit is a money pit that will never be profitable for various reasons. The original owner knew this and prayed that someone would come along and buy the pit. Freedom Armory will never be able to charge enough or swindle enough to make the business profitable especially in this inflated economy we live in. They pay us the salespeople a pittance to work long days as if we were indentured servants so hard selling is a must. So now the “Pit” is under new ownership. Some of the guys that worked under the old regime are actually still working here and are actually very solid, good guys. Like the tall good looking guy with the good looking brown and gray beard. He has always been a good man, so if you don’t listen and go there anyway, at least look for this man for assistance. Beware of some others I have previously mentioned. As for the previous owner. He was just a lousy businessman in general. What’s worse was he was ignorant enough to think he was a genius and smarter than everyone he encountered. His moronic ideas included things like a virtual 3D pistol range that no one used. The long and short of all of this is that the “Freedom Money Pit” relies on extortionate prices to maximize all possible margins just to keep the operation running. Bottom line is, do your homework before purchasing a firearm from this deteriorating establishment. By purchasing a firearm from the “Freedom Money Pit” you are essentially flushing your hard earned dollars down the drain. As far as the range goes, you can pay a modest annual fee to shoot at your leisure at a wonderful outdoor range instead of the dingy basement of the “Freedom Money Pit”.

Very well stocked store. Impressive selection of items. But I must say that the prices are a bit high! I'm from Maryland, and the store is in Pennsylvania. So I can't speak for why the prices are inflated compared to online or my area but they will probably have what you want. Very friendly service, attentive customer service. Well lit and clean store. They do have a gun range inside as well. Well worth the drive due to the fact that the store is well stocked and the service is excellent.

Went to Freedom to get a new rifle bag and for some range time this past Saturday. The range officer was knowledgeable, professional, and thorough with his instructions and even let me use his tools to fix an issue I had. They have a big selection of gear and sell some high quality stuff. I thought the range was a little on the expensive side for a non-member 30 minute session, but would I go back and pay it again? Yup. They have a pretty sweet iPad set up in each lane where you can control the target distance from 5-25 yards on the pistol range in 5 yard increments. And that target thing moves fast, so it doesn't eat up a lot of your lane time waiting for it to go out or come back in.

I had a Glock with a sheared screw in the slide. I stopped in thinking I was going to be walking out with a new slide and several hundred less in the bank. The employees were very friendly and pointed me in the direction of the gunsmith. Within 10 minutes the sheared screw was removed with no damage to the threads. When asked what I owed the gentleman said nothing. My only regret is not having cash to buy him a beer. 10/10 would recommend. Very friendly staff with a huge stock. Will be returning soon.

Bought a p365 12r magazine for $50. Handed the guy at the register $40 cash, paid the rest on card. When I got the receipt, it said I only paid $30 in cash.Pointed it out to the worker that I indeed handed him $40 and he instantly said oops then gave me $10 cash. No questioning if my claim was false or anything. It was like he knew, Didn't make me feel right.

Its a really nice range and some of the employees are nice, however when my brother was interested in purchasing a firearm with a safety the guy at the counter was trying to talk him out of needing one with a safety and actively advocating against them. Stating that “would you remember the safety if you needed to defend yourself” is a dangerous train of thought. For a place that offers beginner courses I would be extremely concerned that their employees don’t advocate for proper gun safety.Beware of the advice they give at the gun counter. But the range and most employees seem kind and caring.

The experience was phenomenal due to the selection of firearms, Cleanliness and most of all the knowledge and respect I received as a customer. Reasonable prices and knowledgeable staff. Don't remember the guys name but he helped me pick out a sight and a few other attachments for my AR. Even went as far as comparing prices with online to show me that if I could wait, it would be cheaper from somewhere online. Overall great experience, would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone.

I went to this range a few weeks ago for the first time. I think the guns were a little over priced but ok. The range itself was very over priced. I range was clean and I liked shooting there on a regular but it a little on the high end. This was the most expensive range that I have been to in the Baltimore/ PA area. If I had the rate this range on its price, I will give it a -3 but if I rated it on it customer service and the employees then I would give it a +12. I would go back to just interact with the employees.

It is obvious that the new owners are Corp and just in this for the profit. What was a nice and affordable priced place to shoot, has turned into a money pit. Nothing free nor comparable about this place. Not even going to start with there gun prices. Sad ? more like -5
