Today the employee john went above and beyond for great customer service.
I had been in to the store ea4lier in the morning and then went on my way to my errands and I realized I don't have my phone. I came back up the road and went in asked if anyone had found a phone. John even came out and called my phone to see if it was somewhere lost in my van that I couldn't see. Anyhow I got home and it was in the driveway. This is a good store!

Rutters Farm Store #44 is located in Codorus Township PA. It's location is on a main road that's used for many residents of Spring Grove and Hanover to commute to Baltimore everyday. Codorus is farmland and certainly needs to stay that way. However the store needs some serious updating. The store has barely changed in the last 50 years since Mr. Thrift owned it. It needs changed in order to keep up with demand. Otherwise people drive by and stop at other stores along their journey. Not to mention their tax money also travels with them while leaving Codorus Township broke because of it. It doesn't need a brand new store but it needs some serious changes to bring in more tax revenue and to give customers a store that's not stuck in the 60's and 70's. It can keep a 70's look but give it some more room, upgrade the building and pumps. The customers in the region need to be treated fairly. So I'm not favortizing Rutters nor Codorus Township. I'm just trying to be fair to people that live in the region that I do. Peace!

"Why Go Anywhere Else?" Because their gas prices have not gone down with those elsewhere in the nation. Compared to MD, for example, Rutters' gas has historically been about 40-50 cents more due to PA gas taxes; but now, it's about 80 cents more. So there's some gouching going on here . . .

Prices excluding gas are outrageous. Went in to get a Vuse E-cigarette cartridge and it was more then double what I usually pay. Normally I spend $8 on one pack they wanted $16.95 and thats with a $1 off. Wont be back.

I used to routinely get gas here on my way back to Baltimore. But yesterday put an end to that. The pumps don't print receipts so I went inside to get mine. I was threatened by two guys about my mask. They followed me to my van on my way out. I said nor did I do anything that would warrant this behavior. I was just wearing a mask. Then I was called many racial slurs while leaving. I won't be back.

Good thing this rutters had gas and snacks and not modern amenities. I couldnt tell if the mummified hotdogs and cobwebs were seasonal displays or permanent fixtures.
