They're way way better priced than most places in my area, and they don't try to overload you w things you don't need for your pet like some places !!!! “Just moved to York and wasn’t excited about finding a new vet. I found Leader Heights Animal Hospital through Google reviews and booked our first appointment online about two weeks out, easy process and no pressure.
Then in the gap before the visit, my dog Archie (wire fox terrier) ripped a dew claw and wouldn’t leave it alone. I called to ask what to do and they gave me phone advice at no charge, from a doctor. That alone earned a lot of trust.
At the appointment, Dr. Angie Cheek took her time, asked about the dew claw right away, and walked me through two reasonable next steps without pushing one over the other. She also handled his bordetella and the rest of the exam really thoroughly. We left with a clear plan and Archie was noticeably more comfortable.
We’ve been to multiple primary vets and specialists over the years, and this was the first time I got the bill and didn’t feel nickeled and dimed. If you’re new to the area or just looking for a vet you can trust in York, I’d recommend Dr. Cheek and this practice.”

“It was an informative visit, unfortunately they quoted too high for a full mouth extraction for over 5k with the aftercare. Found a local vet who can do it for a quarter of the price. Appreciate the diagnosis of Stomatitis .Vet was very knowledgeable. One lady at the front desk was very friendly and the other seemed a bit annoyed at my questions about results and medication. Thank you at the end of the day because I know what to do next to help my kitty!”
“I just had my 1st visit with this vet. I did have to wait a bit but thats understandable and they let me know as i could see they were swamped especially with calls. I can't say enough on how kind, caring and knowledgeable the vet is. The lady i watched take dogs back was super gentle and patient with the dogs also. I have been through so many vets in York County for the past 30 yrs. and this is the best one ever. The vet took his time actually listening and talking with me over my concerns. He was so informative. As I now have Frenchies, I searched for over a year to find a vet knowledged in them. He is the first vet I found to actually have good knowledge about this breed specifically. He even cares that I prefer the holistic approach 1st with my dogs. Not just trying to push the industries toxic chemicals. I cant say enough on how pleased I am with Heston Vet.”

“Green Glen was there for me even though I was not a patient of theres. My beloved horse coliced and I called them for emergency service. They came out at night to tend to him. He was doing okay when the dr left, I had to call her again the next morning to come back and she had to give me the dreaded news that he would have to be put down. Most horrible day of my life. The dr was very patient and caring. She gave me the time I needed to call my husband and to say goodbye to my very best friend. My soul horse. I was heavily pregnant at the time and the Dr was very cautious and helpful. She made sure my boy passed peacefully. She cut some of his mane and tail for me to have to keep as a keepsake. She also arranged for the pick up service to come out to collect him. I later received a condolences card in the mail and everyone had signed it. While a card doesn’t bring back my sweet boy, it warmed my heart that they cared enough to send me a hand signed card when they could have just moved on with their life’s. Thank you Green Glen and one day when I get another horse friend I’ll be sure to contact you about becoming a true patient.”
