“This place is quaint and unassuming by the side of the road but don’t let the appearance fool you—the chocolates here are AMAZING. We discovered their famous chocolate dipped oyster crackers a decade ago through my grand aunt and I’ve been buying them as gifts since then. The chocolate is smooth creamy with a melt in your mouth velvety finish. They make all the chocolates in store which is why they close after Easter once the weather gets too hot. I can’t recommend this place enough. The owner Doug and his daughter are super friendly and the fact this magical chocolate store is on its fourth generation is pretty amazing. I always call before a big order just in case since they make everything in store. Definitely check it out—you’ll become a chocolate addict like me!”

“First went when the store first opened a few months ago and was shocked how full the shelves were considering how empty other stores shelves are and the gentleman that owns the shop is extremely nice, helpful, and gets a lot of candy and snacks that I haven't seen in years! The items are reasonably priced with more items being put on shelves often.”

“My wife is a bit of a chocolate snob, and she loves this place. She said it is some of the best chocolate she's ever had in her entire life. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is 100% awesome. I've been here several times and never had to wait more than a few minutes, which worked out perfect while I tried to make up my mind for something that would please my wife. “The address for this business, 1500 Market Street, is a bit misleading. I believe the only entrance (the one I used) is on 16th Street just south of Market Street. My first visit to this location, which seemed consistent with the other locations in terms of available products. As usual with this local chain of stores, they are a great resource, especially when it comes to the holiday baking. If you're outfitting your gingerbread house, this is the equivalent of Lowes or Home Depot. Competitive pricing on their dates and walnuts. Although I do wish they carried organic products as well. I found when getting home that one item I had bagged up was apparently left behind on the counter. Calling the store, I was assured that whether or not I had actually paid for it, the item would be held for me to pick up later. Note that they have a frequent shopper program, so I was able to take several dollars off my bill with the credit that had accumulated, and which I didn't even know about. Nice!”
“This shop was awesome. Right in the city center and Tina the owner personally took perfect care of us. I was on FaceTime with my wife and tina was helping me pick out shirts and hoodies. Tina was a breath of fresh air. She has a small business that she loves and just wants to make people happy. Me and my buddy felt so welcome in such a different city. So if you ever visit Philly this is a MUST. She also taught us some history of the city.”

“More than a nut store. There really is no place like it. Not inexpensive, except for the 99 cent small cup of excellent coffee. Bins and bins of nuts, candies, coffees, spices, shelves with hot sauces and each crowded isle, nook and cranny filled with products too numerous to mention. Worth a venture, an out of the way experience at the busy intersection of Eagle and Haverford Rds in Havertown. Clean restrooms, inadequate parking and helpful pleasant employees. Worth a visit...or two or more.”
