I recently moved and had to purchase some bins to store blankets and winter coats in my basement. When I got to the self checkout, BEFORE I scanned a single thing, an employee approached me and started demanding that I take all the bins apart and prove that I wasn’t stealing anything when I physically hadn’t had a chance to scan anything yet. It was embarrassing and I felt like it was assumed that I was stealing when I did nothing wrong. This doesn’t make any sense because she could have easily watched me take apart and scan my items without interrogating me. When I reached the exit I handed over my receipt like I’m supposed to, and with no warning the man at the door grabbed the bin I was holding to check if I was stealing AGAIN. Double embarrassing and very weird of him to grab merchandise that I’m holding (and just purchased) without any explanation at all, especially since I just went through the humiliation ritual 5 seconds prior to prove I wasn’t stealing at the checkout. Maybe this is a store policy but it definitely could be executed with basic human decency.

After getting my Me Day started (hair salon), I went to Walmart to get a replacement television I saw online for $88. They were out of stock so I looked at what they had and found one. A day in the life of a single mom, mt autistic sons' tv audio blew out and I gave him my tv so I ended up getting the new one until his breaks passing down.
