I went to this location to find out why my brake light was on. I made an appointment online and indicated I would be waiting for my car. When I arrived I was told they didn’t know how long it would take to get to my car (even though I had an appointment that said “waiting”). When I was called up to the front I was told my car needed new brakes, rotors, calipers, and brake pads on both sides in the rear. I was told that my driver’s side rear caliper was leaking and it caused everything to corrode. It was “recommended” that I replace both sides so that I would “brake evenly” I went back and saw my car. I was showed the area where there was a leak. The man who took me back there tried to keep me from looking at all four brakes. As far as anything being corroded, they all looked the same. I took pictures of all of the brakes and told him I need to go out to make a phone call and I wouldn’t be getting any work done today. While we were going back out front, he stopped in front of the door (not giving any room for me to exit) and ask why I brought my car to them if I wasn’t going to get any work done. He also told me my car wasn’t safe to drive. After making a phone call, I came back and requested my car. The same man rolled his eyes at me and just stared at me for a moment. Then he told he guys in the back to “button up” my car. After that he refused to have any interaction with me. I didn’t get his name. The other guy who was working in the front was Aaron. When it was time to give back the keys, the other guy had Aaron do everything. I ended up having someone else look at my car. The only thing I needed was a caliper on the rear driver’s side. I won’t ever come back to Pep Boys again. The experience was extremely unprofessional and they attempted to scam me out of over $1200.

The guy that always answers the phone when it's the service department, always gives a hard time when asking for help. Can't understand why !

The customer service was great. Also, Mike Hillard was very helpful and patient. I will definitely return in the future.

Great experience! I came in at 8 am for a new battery and was helped immediately with a smile. They were very efficient and professional/friendly. I would recommend to everyone especially family and friends. I’ll be back for my state inspection soon.

I stopped in Pep boys at the end of a long day because it was on my errand route. I was overdue for an oil change, but had just moved so I was putting it off. The manager reluctantly told me they were booked solid for the next three days. A mechanic that had already changed out of his coveralls to head home, must have noticed my crestfallen expression and offered to do the oil change on the spot. Jim changed back into his work clothes and cheerfully brought my car back for service. The manager even suggested I download the coupon online to save $25! All of the people at Pep boys were helpful and good spirited. They have certainly made a new customer!

Booked an appointment on my one day off to get my battery checked and/or replaced and drove out of my way to this location because I saw the great reviews. Upon arrival, I was asked if I would be dropping off or waiting. When I responded that I would be waiting, figuring it was only a battery replacement and it wouldn't take more than a half hour tops, I was told that the wait would be 4 hours, despite me making an appointment. The man at the front had the audacity to say, "These are things the internet doesn't tell you." If there were no slots available for an appointment, I should not have been able to book it. Common decency would have been to at least give a courtesy call letting me know that we would not be able to honor my appointment despite the website showing that time available at the time of booking. I called Autozone and asked if they installed batteries, they said yes, so I drove down the street and got in and out. Will not be returning to this location.

From our initial call to the store by my wife to schedule an oil change tire rotation, the Glenside, PA Pep Boys team was outstanding! Jim who took the initial call answering my wife’s questions and getting her scheduled for a ASAP appointment. I’m not gonna talk about how my wife found his voice and tone over the phone reassuring. And when we got there, working with Aaron was the example of service first! Aaron assessed our needs and worked with us to ensure we took advantage of sales and discounts to get replace our tires and rear brakes. This visit was made convenient and easy by Jim and Aaron and the guys behind them that got the world done right and on time! Thanks

Expect your appointment to possibly not be honored if you set one online, despite what you may be led to believe. All I needed was 2 tire patches and made that notation on their website and was allowed to make an appointment at a time that was convenient to me. When I arrived, I gave my name and time that I'd set my appointment for, the attendant, who didn't even bother to look up from his computer, told me that I'd have to wait 2-3 hours because they overbooked other appointments at the same time. I understand that this may be their way of insuring that appointments are kept in queue in the event of cancellations, but let that be known to the customer in advance instead of allowing appointments to be made only to tell the customer that the time they chose cannot be honored.Extremely poor service and I will not be returning.

I have been bringing my two vehicles to this location for over five years now. Up until recently the service has been very good, but has gone down hill over the past 4 months. Before I get into the details, I understand that the automotive service industry is struggling to fill qualified roles and I can accept that as one area for the decline. However, when I do bring an issue to the attention of management, I don't expect it to be excuses as to why they are not accountable. Here are the details:1. Had an oil change done in May 23. Got the vehicle back with greasy hand prints on my steering wheel and driver side door. There is a check box on within the procedure document that indicates a cleanliness check was completed.2. Booked an appointment on line to have the vehicle state inspection, tires rotated and a check based on mileage, July 23. I put these details in the online booking. Got the vehicle back with only the inspection being completed. When I raised the question as to why, I was only given that we did not see it and assumed that I only wanted the state inspection. No apology.3. Took one of my tires in due to air loss. I had no idea if it was a foreign object or the valve stem assembly, Aug 23. When I got the tire back I was told that it was the base of the valve stem that was leaking and it was repaired. I took my vehicle to the dealer to have the mileage inspection done, as Pep Boys failed to it on the previous appointment, and to get them to look at that same tire, because it was still leaking. I found out that it was the same problem that Pep Boys claimed they fixed. The dealer did not have the part in stock, so I would need to pick it up. That same day I went to Pep Boys to explain this to them. Clearly, this got missed during the inspection process of the tire. When I explained the to the two guys, they looked up the ticket and then one of them came outside with me to inspect the tire. What I got was zero accountability. The manager was claiming that if it was the stem assembly it would cost me over a hundred dollars and not the twenty five dollars I was charged. He went on to tell me that he would have to take a look at the tire to determine that this was in fact the problem. What shocked me was that I would have thought that was done when I brought the tire in the first time, the actual part cost me forty three dollars, and at the time he was looking at the tire you could see air bubbles coming through the soap at the base of stem. He did not even notice this. So, no apology, no accountability, and excuses as to why they did not actually do the job correctly the first time.I will say that at no time did our discussion escalate. It was professional. However, I was seriously disappointed in how this was dealt with. I've decided to not continue to take my vehicles to the center, and thought it important to let everyone know to be very detailed in what you are asking for, check their work and the cleanliness of your vehicle before accepting it.

I registered for a 10 am appointment to get brand new tires put on my car. It took 2 hours for them to even begin service on my car, then another 2 1/2 hours for them to put them on because the tires I ordered online FROM PEPBOYS weren't in stock. Since this was something I absolutely needed to get done, I ended up paying for more expensive tires and waited around for more than FOUR hours on a Saturday morning. This was my first time at this particular location. Safe to say I probably won't be back.

No hassle. Made the appointment and ordered tires online. The system had the wrong size. They corrected the order with no problem. Love the quaint neighborhood. Nice and quiet PepBoys location. Plenty of comfy seating. Only takeaway: the bathroom needs some TLC. Thanks

They changed my appointment to a different day, then took my car 2 hours after my appointment. The younger counter guy was verging on rude and never once updated on my car. The older man at the counter was much nicer. Also, charging $13 for an inspection sticker seems excessive.

I called & set an appointment for an oil change & state inspection. They are rude & trashed my car!I was warned by friends not to use PepBoys, but I decided to give them a try. They said my brake mounts were missing & that my brakes were worn down because of this. My brakes they were talking about were only two months old. When I went to pick up my car the cashier Mike was very rude. I said hello & he didn't acknowledge me. I told him I was there to pick up my car. He gave me the receipt & waited for me to pay, never speaking to. They never showed me my worn old brakes and left trash all over my car. On the floor ,cupholder & door pocket. They pulled a scarf out of my glove compartment and threw it on the floor. I am Never going back. My money would be better spent elsewhere.

This place is good for an oil change and that’s just about it. The staff treat you like a number rather than a person. They did not apply my 25% oil change coupon which is the reason I selected them. They claim to “sanitize the vehicle” but mine had black grease smudges all over the plastic and upholstery where the mechanic touched when he pulled my car into the garage.
