After six months, the product never arrived and the company stopped responding. My credit card company refunded the purchase. I’m disappointed because their work looked beautiful, but it didn’t work out for us. These negative reviews did not exist when I made the purchase, so it looks like the company is going through a rough patch. I hope they can turn things around.

DO NOT BUY!!! Ordered bookcases almost 6 months ago and they never even reached out. Shipping times are super long and vague and are not told on the checkout or products pages. Customer service is incredibly rude and on top of that after I got my refund from my bank and left this review the owner threatened to sue me with litigation. If I were you, I would avoid this company at all costs.
Buy from IKEA and save yourself a ton of money and headaches!

Buyer beware! We ordered bookcases from this company in February, 2023 and they were not delivered until June, 2024. That is about 70 weeks, compared to the 12-16 weeks listed on their website (you would do well to pay close attention to the "plus" caveat on that timeline). At one point we asked for a refund (they take all of the money upfront, not a deposit), which was not honored.
Definitely take a look at their BBB file before making a purchase - I wish we had taken the time do that.
In terms of the product itself, it is fine, but certainly not worth waiting 70 weeks for.

First, I will say that the production lead time on this product is loooong. Three-and-a-half months for me (including the holidays). There is not a lot of proactive communication about order updates either. But Woodland Mills does respond quickly to questions. Why the five stars? This is a very high quality, high value product for the price. It is *not* IKEA grade whatsoever. It uses similar design, but the materials far exceed IKEA quality. The pine boards are flawlessly finished and the joint connector nuts, screws, and pegs are steel (not plastic or pot metal). The back isn't paper, but 5/8 in. pine. It's beautiful. The instructions are very clear and the packaging was perfect. There is pride in the design and manufacture of this product. It clearly states on the website that the shelves need to be assembled and finished with stained, so I was expecting that, and honestly, for the price, I'm 100% okay with it. Prebuilt and stained shelves are 3x the price and don't look any better.I would recommend these to my carpenter father.

IKEA quality at best. I had ordered a bookshelf during the pandemic, so delays were the norm. But the wood used to manufacturer the book case was like basswood. No structural integrity and the design obviously required a strong hardwood, like maple or oak for durability. I should have made a claim with Etsy, but whatever. Buyer beware.

Very disappointed in the 8 months it took to receive ikea quality furniture with no finish. Terrible customer service with a different excuse every time I enquired. Find someone else. Buyer beware

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I waited 5months for a 2bookshelves for the owner to CANCEL the order on me , because I asked why it's taken 4x longer than initially was told. I would never have bought this product if I knew how long and hassle this was going to be. His excuse is it's only him but, the customer shouldn't suffer because you don't know how to run a business.I'm beyond upset right now , I have emailed proof of our conversations.

Ordered in the spring under promise of 4-6 weeks. It's been 15 weeks now. No response to my email, no answer at their phone. Credit card was charged immediately... seems to be time enough for that. As a lifelong small business owner, I am appalled at the attitude of this company, an attitude best described as, "Just pay, there's a possibility we'll send what you ordered when we get around to it, but don't ask for a delivery date and don't bother us.". Absolutely nothing". Guess I'll have to order my item from an honorable company and warn others away from the company that doesn't deliver what you pay for.

Their work is gorgeous, and well built. The bookcase was fairly easy to assemble with clear instructions. In addition, their price is excellent considering this is a real pinewood bookcase and not a particle board one like you’d find at ikea. I highly recommend them.

We wanted a solidly constructed bookcase for our 18 month old Grandson yet avoided MDF type material. After searching many sites I then found The Woodland Mills. Their 5/8" solid pine stock quickly sold me as this was exactly the material I wanted! We chose the 24" wide kit with 3 adjustable shelves plus a fixed bottom shelf. Delivery was prompt and assembly was easy. I was very impressed with the quality of the hardware and the accuracy of the cut components. I chose to finish this piece using an oil penetrating stain.I highly recommend Woodland Mills to anyone needing a piece of furniture where quality is the most important part of your decision.

We ordered a bookcase at the beginnining of the COVID pandemic. Because of that, it took longer than expected to arrive. When I emailed to inquire about when it would arrive, I always got an email back with an explanation. I was satisfied with this becuase of COVID and because of the quick response to my emails.
On my second email to them, they shipped my bookcase rushed because it had taken longer than expected and they did this without my asking.
I feel I got good service during a tough time.
Also, when we got the bookcase it was in good shape and also very pretty when put together. A solid wood bookcase that is 82 inches high for less than $300 and made in the USA? Fantastic.
I recommend this company because they are manufacturing quality products that are HARD to find in the USA. They are also delivering quality for a VERY fair price and helping our biosphere (environmentally friendly) instead of hurting it. Even the packaging had minimal foam. and was mostly recyclable. Congratulations to them, they deserve support.
If you are ok with being patient for it to arrive and also with putting it together, which is simple but not necessarily really easy (you may need a smaller screw driver which can get into tight spaces. We had one which made it easier to put on the mouldings on the sides of the front of the bookcase) then it is entirely worth it. Just have patience.
Thank you so much Woodland Mills!

We ordered a finished( we thought) bookcase 17 June 2020 with a four week delivery.Delivery kept being delayed because of Covid-19. Repeatedly wrote emails and left phone messages after assurances it was in production.Today October 11 we received a kit. That is why four stars. In fairness, the 46”x 30” x 12” kit is superb. Easy to assemble and for $189 it is perhaps the deal of the year.
