One of the best camps! My son Louie, was a camper there many years ago. During a difficult situation personally, Camp Shohola took the BEST care of my son. Eternal thanks to Duncan and his always superb and supportive staff.❤️❤️❤️

The best experience my 12yr old son has ever had! It had an overwhelmingly positive and beneficial effect on his behavior and personality :-) He's super excited to return for his 2nd Summer!

We had a wedding venue cancel on us two months before our wedding date and Duncan from Camp Shohola was SO accommodating and willing to work with us last-minute!We ended up going with a different venue due to location, but we still wanted to give a shoutout to Duncan for his responsiveness and kindness!

I just recently had the best summer ever here! I was a counselor for their 80th summer, and I cannot begin to explain how amazing this place is. The community at camp is incredibly welcoming and accepting to all campers and staff. The campsite itself is also super gorgeous, and I only wish I could be here every summer!

I spent 5 (five!) summers here as a camper and those youthful experiences had a profound effect on who I am today. Camp Shohola taught me to be independent, self-confident, and resolve conflicts with skill. I ended up coming here to write this comment, because I was remembering how the camp Director once read a passage from an Edgar Allan Poe book during a campfire. The campers were riveted…I still think about that night and that story.

One of my favorite places in the world by far. The amount of work and dedication that goes into this place is incredible. I was a camper for two years and loved it so much that I returned as a counselor for three more. A three generation summer camp that is still going strong and will remain for several more ! Changed my life completely

My son spent 4 weeks in the camp this year and had a great time! He’s a picky eater (w. allergy to certain food), a little hygiene freak, and loves games (typical teen). So when he’s back and said food is good, bathrooms are clean, showers are nice, I’m impressed. Of course he missed his phone, but he said there are many friends to play and talk with, he doesn’t mind at all. Thanks to Duncan and Holly and all the amazing counselors.

Sometimes folks employ hyperbole when describing a time or a place, or both. But I have seen more than a few people say this is the best place on Earth, and I can't agree more. I spent 3 summers there as a counselor and they were, without a doubt, the best 3 summers of my life. And although I was a counselor, it's fair to say I learned as much from my kids as they learned from me. As proof, I'm still in contact with dozens of them and other counselors, even after almost 30 years. I'm seriously considering retiring nearby just so I can have a walk over for a visit. :)
